Wallington Festival. A beautiful fresh beer - lively with a fragrant hop bite and soothing with a smacking toffee base. Perfect balance. Superb beer in wonderful condition. niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2011
On cask at The Congress, Longton. Dark golden pour with an off white head. Nutty, spicy and complex for its strength. I wish all best bitters were this good. BlackHaddock (7515) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2012
Tasted on cask at a Wetherspoons in Shrewsbury (Feb 2011).
A golden bitter with a white, light head.
The aroma and taste lean towards maltiness, comprising nutty and coffee flavours, leading to an oak wood like esters. It has a spicy bitterness with a lingering finish.
Considering it is only 3.8% ABV the packs a lot of complex flavours and is an ideal session beer: like so many well crafted UK bitters.
