Hand pulled at the Black Eagle, Birmingham. By all accounts this is a beer with it’s place in UK brewing history secured. On the night I enjoyed it - fairly gentle, but with enough flavour to uninhibit constant swigging. Sweetish, with a grassy straw hop foreground. Got better as it warmed up.

Delightful beer - golden colour and well balanced between sweetness of the malt and bitterness of the hops. Very drinkable, one of my favourites. Well worth a visit to Bishops Castle in Shropshire.
