2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the Tucson Airport. Berry smell with a strong honey taste. Reminds me of those flavored honey sticks you get in gift shops. A little too sweet for me.
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass at the brewpub.
The appearance was a hazy orange color with some red highlights here and there around the glass. Bar pour yielded no head.
The smell started off with a sweet red raspberry and then a light tart raspberry came in to balance and then after that a light sugary sweetness came in.
The taste was mainly sweet through the raspberries but after a while the sugary flavor came back.
On the palate, this one had a tart and sweet raspberry aftertaste that seemed pretty authentic and I would say that this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. The carbonation was decent for the style and for me.
Overall, decent raspberry ale I believe I could take to the dome again. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - AUG 18, 2011

On tap at brewpub. Not a huge fan of this one, it pours a clear red almost purple color. Smell was of a dark berry. and the taste was of berrys with some honey in the back end. It wasnt a bad fruit beer just not my fav TreborWhip (393) - Reading, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 8, 2011

enjoyed the weekend of RBWG 2011on tap pours hazy pinish purple with a thin white head. Aroma is floral with tons of berry. Flavor is much the same with semi-sweet berry and a oat/wheat malt base. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 8, 2011
Reddish pour, fluffy head. Aroma of sweet berries, honey, graham cracker and oranges. Flavor is sweet, honey, creamy, wheat...interesting at the very least. Sledutah (7971) - Utah, USA - MAR 7, 2011

Appearance: Slightly hazy bronze with a small white head, no lacing
Aroma: Sweet dark fruit
Taste: Honey, sweet fruit and berries
Poured deep red with little white head, taste is full of blackberry with a honey sweetness at the end. For my severe dislike of berry beer, this one didn’t displease too much, as it was very unique. BOLTZ7555 (3028) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - SEP 22, 2009
Actually kind of enjoyed this one for its uniqueness. Ruby red/purple pour with a small ivory head that isn’t more than a ring. Aroma is ripe berries (can’t really tell what type) and moderate honey sweetness. Flavor is more definable blackberry...a bit syrupy but good.
