This is one of my home brewpubs, and I love their Beers. This is a fine example of the style, very thick and rich with a wonderful hop and citrus aroma. The color is deep amber that reflects the light beautifully.
The flavor profile is that of fresh picked hops with a citrus background and a bit bit of pin resin. The mouthfeel is rich and creamy and very chewey. This is one damn fine beer. Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 31, 2009
Thanks Sebastian. Golden colored ale, with a smooth, creamy and long lasting white head. Appropriate mouth feel. Bright hop aroma showcases notes of lemon and pine. Flavor has some depth and balance to it. I like the malt sweetness, with hints of caramel and biscuit. Vibrant hops as well, with notes of pine and lemon. A nice ale. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - OCT 14, 2007
On tap @ Thunder Canyon - Pours a bright, clear deep copper color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light spotty lacing. The aroma is wonderful. Full of floral, pine, and light citrus hops and fruity esters. Flavor is sweet malt, fruit, and and light resin. Slight lingering bitter aftertaste. Medium body. An excellent beer. egajdzis (6501) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2007
Poured a clear, amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, citrus fruits, light caramel, toasted malts, and floral hops. Taste of pine, resin, light caramel, citrus fruits, faint tobacco, and a moderate grapefruit bitterness in the finish. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2007
Growler acquired in trade with FlacoAlto (thanks!). Poured a medium and clear orange / amber color with a smaller size off white head. Aromas of pine, orange peels, citrus, floral and light caramel. Tastes of caramel, pine, and citrus. Nice bitter finish with a lighter malt balance.

Unexpected hand bottle. Green, fresh and minty aroma. Just a small amount of citrus meat (orange and tangerine). Rather thick and heavy aroma, normally associated with pine resin, but not so much here. Citrus zest and outdoors. Pours a thick, hazy dark orange. A thin head leaves decent sticky lacing. Quite full bodied for the style. Thick and heavy with a bit of residual sweetness but never cloying. Flavor is accentuated by orange meat, slight pine resin, tangerine and clementine zest. Some herbalness (there’s the mint again). Hoppy as all getout, but a good dose of bready and slightly toasted caramel malt keep the intense hops in check. Awesome drinkability. Intensely hoppy throughout but remains quite drinkable. Thanks for the awesome treat Sebastian! daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 20, 2011
Nice light orange pour. Aroma is loaded with grapefruit peel, resin, light caramel malt. Flavor follows suit. This is very good. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 5, 2011
Sampled @ AZ Strong Beer Fest. 24 karat body that has tiny bubbles percolating from the bottom of the glass, creating a thin ivory head. Nose of grapefruit, spruce, orange peel, and caramel. Flavor is a burst of citrus with a nice honey finish to balance it out. Medium mouthfeel. Good one! decaturstevo (6240) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - AUG 18, 2011
Hazed orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, resiny hops, and bread. Flavor mirrors aroma except better. Medium full bodied with smooth silky carbonation. A very nice beer. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - OCT 18, 2007
Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler. Pours a caramel malty sweetness, citrus, some pine and grapefruit. Flavor of caramel, toffee, mixed citrus, some pine, light hop bitterness and hops.
