Handbottled courtesy of cbjschubert - sampled 1 week later. Poured with a fresh lemony sweaty hop aroma (amarillo and centennial?) A touch of fresh bread in the background. Copper color with a medium tight creamy head. Well built palate, with a nice creamy bready malt profile, with just a tingle of spicy, floral hops, leading to a balanced finish that lingers on with a medium bitterness. This is exactly my kind of IPA, characterized by balance yet with fresh hop aromatics and a nice palate. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 28, 2012
Cloudy orange pour. Creamy white head. Citrus hops on the nose! Light caramel, crackers. Flavor is loaded with citrus, lemon/lime zest. Creamy wonderful body. Amazing cask ipa! ajm (1072) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 11, 2009
Tap at Pap. Fruity nose that is very floral. Flavors of dark orange, cream, orange blossom, very sweet , fruity hops, sweet malt. Finish is ethereal and short. A very pleasant surprise and another good reason to drink AZ beer. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 24, 2003
Golden with decent head and nice lacing. Aroma is a good grapefruit, some pine, medium sweet. Taste is strong pine/grapefruit, slight sweetness. Firm body. Unexpectedly very nice IPA. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - MAY 2, 2003
Medium copper color. Medium head. Aroma is floral hops and citrusy (orange peel). A medium bodied IPA. Malts are nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are fairly bitter and grapefruity. Nicely balanced towards the hops. It’s hoppy without being over the top. Very drinkable IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

The beer after relocating to my glass from the tap pours a slightly bemused amber color with a medium sized head that is creamy in texture and a bright white color, the lace a silky sheet to drape the glass. Nice hop floral spiciness at the front the malt sweetness hit you in the middle and a fresh citrus like crispness at the end. Start is ambrosial, nicely malted with the top moderate in feel. Finish has a benign acidity, the hops powerful but not overbearing in their spicy bite, very dry aftertaste that lingers long on the palate, a fine drinking beer that’s a treat.
Had a full glass of this one at brewery. Aroma was of pine and light fruit. Copper color to the body with a white head and left decent lacing. The fruity hops were quick to bite at first drink. Settleed down at finish with a citrus orange flavor. Best beer of the day. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - APR 15, 2007
Courtesy of cbkschubert. Pours copper with a 1 1/2 finger white head that subsides but leaves some white lacing. Smells of pine, citrus, some perfume, some doughiness and spicy hints. Taste is bitter with a nice orangy hint with some sweet malt and pepper. Mouthfeel is slightly metallic. Finish is bitter with hints of sweet oranges. The hops are nicely balanced and complimentary on this one. dchmela (3075) - Orlando, Florida, USA - APR 1, 2012
Thanks to Maltajo for driving me to the brewpub! Cask pour with extra dry hops. Pours a hazy gold pour with a thick creamy head. Big resiny citrus pine hops aroma, super fresh. Pungent citrus pine hop combo in the taste, with a thick creamy malt body. Awesome treat! J_man (1008) - Tustin, California, USA - JUN 20, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2012 On tap at BJs in Tucson, AZ.. Nice floral hop and biscuit malt aromas. Clear medium amber with a white head. Initially very floral hop taste (which I think was accentuated by the spicy shrimp I had right before it), then followed with a pine and citrusy bitterness. Really good deep caramel malt balance with a bit of molasses behind it. Finishes with an earthy bitterness and residual candy sweetness. Very unique and tasty IPA.
