Dark wheat has a bold, dark color that surprises the drinker with a mild clean flavor. This beer is a black version of an American Wheat, with some locally malted corn added for a drier, more drinkable, local flavor. Germans would consider this a beer an American version of a Dunkel Weizen.

This smells like corn--and I guess there is corn in it so that makes sense. Otherwise it is fairly bland with a touch of roast character. Its got a nice creamy texture which is its best feature. No real off flavors either. Not bad.

Taste comprises brown bread, cocoa powder, dark fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough for style and definitely the best dark wheat bier Ive raked from Nebraska!!!

Can share at Chrisos, thanks to Gene for my first Nebraskan beer. 5.2%. Dark brown or black, small dense foamy tan head. Aroma is soft biscuity malts, bourbon biscuit in particular. Body is medium, tingly carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste has more bourbon biscuit, ashy malts, some metallics in the finish. Decent.
