Tap at Whole Foods, Omaha location. Pours slightly hazy/golden with lasting white head. Aroma was peppery and grain. Taste was peppers and jalapeño, but not overly spicy. MetalNHopHead (2127) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - SEP 17, 2015
To be fair, Thunderhead’s Jalapeno Ale was already at a disadvantage with me since pepper beers really aren’t my thing. If I’m going to have spicy elements in a beer, I want the aroma to be big and potent. Flavor should be spicy without being punishing and the heat shouldn’t linger too long. For this one, aroma was more like the vegetable element of jalapeno rather than the spicy juice. Flavor was not especially spicy to me. My rating feels harsh, but at the same time, this brew has been out for awhile. Sorry Thunderhead, I’m not a fan. Danyel (1606) - Colorado, USA - AUG 11, 2015
Tap at brewery. Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma is very fresh jalapeños, green peppers. Taste is light bodied, good fresh pepper taste, med carbonation. Overall, a great pepper beer. ads135 (4923) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 9, 2015
A pretty solid jalapeno beer. I’m not generally a fan of these beers, but the spice is understated and the heat lingers. Good combo. bbrock81 (317) - Le Mars, Iowa, USA - APR 26, 2015
Draft at Old Chicago in Kearney. Pours a very strange lemon-yellow with no head to speak of. Aroma is almost non-existent. Maybe a faint hint of jalapeno and an even fainter hint of generic beer. Flavor is similar, but stronger on the jalapeno. Also get some grain flavor underneath. Palate is macro over carbonation all the way. Not very impressive, frankly.

On tap at the brewery. Gold, pale and clear with a thin white head. Fiery pepper aroma, jalapeños, chili peppers, etc. Flavor is moderately spicy, hot but not too much. Thin, light body. Not bad. HuskerTan (2337) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - DEC 29, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Draft.
A- Wheat, peppers, spices.
A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, minimal head.
T- Spicy, jalapenos, grains.
P- Light body, sharp texture, average carbonation, spicy finish.
O- A very interesting beer. You don’t notice the spiciness up front but it lingers around in the aftertaste. Surprisingly smooth. heemer77 (5360) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUL 13, 2013
Tap at Chicken Coop in Urbandale. Light gold colored body with a thin white head. Nose is light vegetables with some jalepeno. There is not much else to smell. The tastes light with a thin body and subtle jalepeno. There isn’t much else to taste besides some potatoes. Meh. Thin and boring. thome50 (1295) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - JUL 11, 2013
Growler from foppa, thanks Mat! Pours a very light yellow to almost pale color with a light white head. Aroma is vegetale pepper but nothing crazy on the pepper. Pretty standard for a fresh pepper beer. Taste is very light initially with the peppers coming in to the beginning and then having some stale malt come in to finish it off. The jalapeno is definitely there near the middle but provides no heat. NONE! Overall this is probably the best "lawnmower pepper beer" I’ve ever tried. Super easy drinking but could use some heat. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 28, 2012
Tap @ Thunderhead. Pours a clear yellow appearance with a white head. Spicy pepper, nice jalapeno, lightly grainy aroma. Slightly spicy, tasty roasted jalapeno, a bit smoky flavor. Not over the top on the spiciness and not one-dimensional like so many pepper beers these days. This was nice and I would love to try again.
