Poured a dark ruby colour with a dark cream head. Malty nose with biscuit and nutty notes. The flavours were a bit disapointing, some light hops with a slight hint of nuts, biscuits and caramel but these are too faint. Sub medium body, not great but drinkable. (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours a beautiful clear warm reddish brown with a lively rought off-white head. Roasted malty aroma with some nuttiness. Vague burned accents - burned caramel. The finish is dry. 040408 Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2008
It’s very beautiful, dark, red-brown with a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate and nuts. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, light chocolate, nuts syrup and it ends on a slightly dry note with a grapefruit-like bitterness and a hint of oranges. The body is full and yet light, it’s a very charming beer. joe19612 (3131) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2008
Bottle. A dark amber colour with a thin white head. Plenty of fruit in the aroma, the is sweet with a smooth chocolate malt. The finish is bitter and dry. A good well balanced beer. RichardGretton (4861) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2008
Bottle. Reddish brown beer with a strongish head. The aroma is mildly malty, and the flavour is malty and lightly toffee bitter. Overall a reasonable beer.

Fruity, malty aroma. Dark ruby pour, thin head leaves some suds behind. Flavour - its a brown ale. And rather a nice one - nutty, sweet hedgerow fruit, toffee malt, tasty and refreshing cold. Not fancy but definitely moreish. HogcliffeLenny (162) - Christchurch, Dorset, ENGLAND - APR 30, 2008
Bottle 500ml. Hoppy malt aroma. Pours a deep clear brown. The thin brown head dissolved within a couple of minutes. I found this one quite sweet, with almost a cola feel about it. Not really much bitterness to speak of. imdownthepub (15514) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2008
Bottled, 500ml, from Morrisons, Banbury. Dark brown ruby with thin beige head. Sweetish fruity beer but with a cardboardy background, plum, blackberry a little hazelnut some toffee caramel on the palate. Lasting and a little cloying. Its fine if underwhelming.
