Refreshing amber ale, brewed with four hop varieties for superb taste and aroma.
When Daniel Thwaites was embarking on his brewing career, the ’Indus’ would have been voyaging to the East Indies = trading Lancashire cotton for exotic Eastern delights. Our Indus Pale Ale celebrates ales of that period with a refreshing brew enriched with abundant hops for flavour that stays fresh and crisp to the finish.

Bottle from B&M Bargains; clear copper pour with big frothy off white head, pine hop aroma, very decent and surprising pine hop taste a good malty background, nice level of bitterness, oily mouthfeel, excellent stuff.

Bottle. Brandy colour with no head. Aroma is light dry malt. Flavour is watery sweet dry malt, hoppy but overall a bit watery.

0.5L bottle. A bit bitter for a IPA, but stil great taste and smell. Nice color and make a nice top when poured into the glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An average bitter in every sense. Not enough hops, taste or any redeeming features for my liking. Soapy & bland, even a tot of organic ginger cordial didn’t make it more palatable. A poor substitute for a real IPA.

deanso (10129) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - AUG 5, 2013
50cl bottle shared with a friend. Thin white head. Clear golden pour. Slight bitterness. Not an ipa. More of a bitter.

Wischylini (310) - Grimstad, NORWAY - AUG 1, 2013
Pours a clear, amber colour with a slightly off-white foam that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing on the side of the glass. Smells metallic, earthy and a bit soapy.. it somehow reminds me of a Swedish soda called ’Julmust’ which is sold around Christmas. Every sip immediately has a sweet taste, but it doesn’t take long before a heavy bitterness hits your taste buds. Overall, this is an alright beer, though I find the finish a bit too astringent. I suppose this could be a refreshing beer on a warm summer day, but I couldn’t have more than one due to the unpleasant astringency.

Pizd (435) - Merseyside, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2013
(Bottle): Pours a clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon zest, grapefruits and some mild grassy notes. Faint hoppy taste, some elements of malt and a touch of earthy, grassy bite. Moderate bitterness and quite average overall but very drinkable.

Ingen høydare i deg hele tatt. Litt for besk. Lite smak. Uspennende. Rett og slett en kjedelig øl. --- For norwegian readers...

Aroma e sabores bem lupulados. Uma boa IPA pra o final do dia. Final seco e curto. Lava os pecados.
