Clear amber color, small white head. Aroma is grassy and a bit cardboardish. Medium-bodied. Fruity hoppyness but also some buttery notes. Berryish. Lingering bitterness. Quite robust for being English type IPA of this ABV but somewhat restless.
Bottle. A clear one, dark golden in color and with a dense, finger-thick off-white head leaving lacigns. The aroma is quite weak, even for an ESB, with the hops doing most of the work. Some lightly caramel smelling maltyness too. Grass, pinecone notes and some spiced hints. The flavor is a bit sweet, with caramel, resin and spice hints and a little bitterness. Medium body. Well, it certainly has a misleading name, but it’s a decent beer anyway, although too weak on most aspects. 120324

500ml bottle from a local ICA store. Frothy, near-white head that stayed well and left a good amount of lacing to the glass. Clear copper coloured body. Leafy hops and earthy malts in a promising aroma. Resinous hops in flavour in fine harmony with mid-sweet, caramel malts and with a good bitter support towards the ending. Soft in the mouth. Clean, fresh and moreish. Easy to drink and easy to like. A pleasant surprise (Tromsø, 10.03.2012). rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 15, 2014
