Can (which is funny) from local LCBO. This is the beer your mother warned you about. Nice can design; shame about the beer. Syrupy & sour. Crappy beer. Bad representative for the style. Thereís a local British inspired brewery within a short drive of where you live that can do a better version of a bitter. Shitty. Avoid. zacgillbanks (5128) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JAN 21, 2017
Bottle from B&M, Team Valley, Gateshead. Amber coloured with a thin white head. It has a malty, toffee and sulphur flavour followed by a roasted and fruity finish. Not bad., ogivlado (7775) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 31, 2016
Bottled 500ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Clear amber coloured, small off-white head, mild caramel nose. Sweetish malty, light caramel, herbalish hoppy and slightly watery with rather bitter finish. Drinkable but usual bitter. Marko (5644) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 17, 2016
Thanks Vran for sharing this with us! Poured a clear amber body. Herbal hop aroma, dry caramel notes. OK nuff. Taste... well... there are some nice English citric / herbal hoppy notes, but the mouthfeel is null and void almost, just too dry, being offset by the bitter finish. Seems like a hop profile that would match a slightly better-bodied beer. Well... any improvement on the body would be a large improvement. Floral and hoppy aroma with caramel notes, pretty simple but full. Beautiful chestnut colour with average creamy head. Medium body, taste is simple, malty, mildly bitter blunted by hops, which are felt all the way through with a bit dry finish. Soft carbonation, feels watery. Not perfect but, personally, the best bitter I have tasted so far.

Appearance: clear pale to medium amber with one fat finger of rocky ivory head, short retention and moderate lacing. (3/5) Aroma: grassy, caramel, light floral. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (6/10) Medium body tending slightly watery, moderate carbonation, off-dry short duration mildly bitter finish. (3/5)
Itís really a struggle to find an ESB thatís actually interesting - and this isnít one. Itís fairly polite and well-behaved, with no significant shortfalls, but itís just so very, very boring. Try it if you like ESBís, I guess? (12/20) hauxe (712) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - SEP 11, 2016
Pours golden brown from the bottle. Aroma is caramel with a dash of turpentine. Taste is sweet with the sugar noticeable but by no means dominating. Overall remains sweet, and ends with a light bitterness at the finish. Relatively light bodied. Okay.
