Clear amber, tanned lacing foam head. Somehow I like the subtle taste of the English bitters. Nice hoppy aroma and bitter enough taste. (Velp 201706) Wim (4160) - Weelde, BELGIUM - MAY 27, 2017

Solid if not unspectacular ale. Bought at Jason’s in the 101 for more money than I would have liked. Clear copper colour. Head lingers for a while leaving some good lacing. Dry with a tang of dried fruits, such as orange and maybe sultana. Malty finish. No overly strong characteristics but easy to drink. Overall tho, solid. 500ml bottle . in a pint .A nice easy Bitter - had all the boxes ticked . Brown piano colour , as tepid and subdued as a funeral in Grimsby and as malty as a Malteser. Garrold (5606) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2017
Bottle. Morrisons. A whole pound. New and fancy label. Pours clear, medium amber. Skim of white head. Nose has sweet, nutty grain. Some hard toffee. A little banana and bready yeast. Taste is burnt, nutty bitter. Some sweetness. Light body. Burnt bitterness to finish. Not bad, especially for the price. Lagerboy (2239) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 19, 2017
