COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Originally brewed by Thwaites, the brand was contract brewed at Marston’s Wolverhampton plant (Banks’s) from 2013, then bought completely by Marston in March 2015. The brand initially continued to be sold under the Thwaites name and logo, but by 2016 the Thwaites name had been dropped.
"This rich amber beer is brewed with only the finest English ingredients. A prominent hop aroma and bitterness throughout is finely balanced with a full malt flavour, leading to a dry bitter finish."

Very average ale. But the tall boy pour perfectly into a tulip glass creating one of the more attractive beers I’ve had recently. Unfortunately testbeds are located in the mouth, not the eyes, and this beer failed to deliver in the latter.

Bottle from Vrutak shared with Jolly Rogers at a rehearsal. Clear amber, minimal head. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity, toasty malts and red fruits. Dry, balanced but very faint. Light body, creamy texture, soft to moderate carbonation, lightly malty finish. Started promising, ended as an average bitter.

A coppery beer, a head is almost medium and blond. Aroma is mild, wood and some toffee. Taste is nicely fresh, wood, some sweetness of toffee, balancing bitterness. Lihgt+ bodied. Traditional, but in a good way, nicely fresh.

Lancaster Bomber supposedly a classic English Ale chestnut in colour. It’s another from the Marstons Brewery of Wolverhampton and this ain’t too shabby either. Quite like this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
