Cask conditioned, half pint at Barony Bar. Copper- amber body. Low head with fragile lace dripping. Fine malt-fruity aroma. Blend of caramel malts and leafy hops in flavour, developing into a nice bitter round off. Traditional good British bitter (Edinburgh, 01.12.2010).

Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in November 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear copper in colour with a thick creamy white head. Strong malty aroma. Good creamy mouthfeel and excellent lacing. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit base with redcurrant fruit notes. Metallic hop tang gives a tinny flavour to the bitter aftertaste. Soft aroma of hops, brown sugar and malt with notes of caramel. The taste is soft with hints of malt, caramel and a gentle hops bitterness. Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, malt extract, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.

Copper coloured, small beigeish brown colour. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel malts and some mild grassyness. Flavour is fruits, wood, yeast, grass and some mild fruity and wooden notes.

6 Sweet fruity retronasals. Sweet caramalty machiness
3 Very simple mashy palate. Smooth. Finish has walnut papers.

Cask @ Sir John Oldcastle, JDW. Farringdon EC1. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some weak hints of hops. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus finish with some hints of caramel in the aftertaste.
