Slightly bland golden beer, ok without much to mark it out. Light malt notes, some sweetness.

Good bitter, though not spectacular. The word ’smooth’ comes to mind. Also, I fail to make the connection with the famous fell-walker, whose self-portrait is on the label. Still, not bad, like most Thwaites offerings.

Theydon_Bois (19200) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2013
Bottle, thanks to Mr C, on the train from Inverness to Hereford 21/10/13. Clear light golden with a moderately sized white head. Nose is toasted malt, faint orange, straw, light caramel strains. Taste follows, nothing more to add. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry grass lead bitterness at home time. Innoffensive, boring, forgettable.

Slightly sweet, very drinkable. Plus more characters to reach the 75 minimum.

foxo82 (899) - Bromsgrove (via Leicester), Worcestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle from Dadster at Syston. Nice dark amber ale with a toasty, slightly hoppy taste. Very drinkable, good duration of finish. Good ale here.

Migmar (255) - Espoo, FINLAND - SEP 13, 2013
Yellowish brown, not that big head. Fruity, grassy. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Pretty mild and soft, but not offensive in any way either.

Never mind all these poncey reviews - it tastes nice and is a lovely drop on a Friday night sat in the garden. Plus it’s dead cheap if you know where to shop
