Lagerish ale I would say. Color is golden and clear. Taste has a little bit fruits and a little hops. Not very bitte, very smooth.

Slightly bland golden beer, ok without much to mark it out. Light malt notes, some sweetness.

Good bitter, though not spectacular. The word ’smooth’ comes to mind. Also, I fail to make the connection with the famous fell-walker, whose self-portrait is on the label. Still, not bad, like most Thwaites offerings.

Theydon_Bois (20600) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2013
Bottle, thanks to Mr C, on the train from Inverness to Hereford 21/10/13. Clear light golden with a moderately sized white head. Nose is toasted malt, faint orange, straw, light caramel strains. Taste follows, nothing more to add. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry grass lead bitterness at home time. Innoffensive, boring, forgettable.
