2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A clear amber beer with a long lasting white head. Aroma is caramel and hoppy, citrus, flowery. Taste is malty and caramel, some citrusy (orange). Medium body
Draft at brewpub. Amber body, clear, silky head, solid lacing coats the glass. Caramel malts in there, more so in taste than aroma. Aroma is weak. Taste is mildly sweet, but has an overall nice mouthfeel. Aside from the aroma, another winner. brokensail (16631) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 1, 2016
On tap @ Tied House. Clear caramel colored beer with a finger of off-white foam. Pretty much your typical caramel apple amber ale here. There’s a whole lot of acidity, too, which I don’t like. Some grassy, herbal, and earthy hops. Tastes kind of bland and flat. Some berry, apple, and lemon. Scroll past. ben4321 (6680) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 20, 2016
Draft at Tied House in Mountain View. Balanced, leaning malty. Pretty typical of the style, with a really solid mouthfeel. Dogbrick (13564) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 11, 2014
Sample at the brewpub. Slightly cloudy copper color with a thin off-white head that recedes quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of roast malt, fruit and subtle hops. Light body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt aftertaste. Average overall. GIJOE (1251) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - MAY 12, 2014
Reddish-amber color. Thin white head; good lacing. Nose is faint malt and a note of hops. Taste is well-balanced; slightly dry finish. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Good brew.

Bottle from Bevmo: Created a soft and thin layer of foamed head while the liquid was a tea brown meets golden honey color. The aroma was rather fruity with scents of dried fruit such as apricot and plums. Flavors are tangy with a fruity yet soapy taste. There is a sweet finish and also allows for some notice of caramel malts, but I wouldn’t buy this again and only think of this amber as below par. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - JUL 30, 2013
On tap, sampler. Pours a very light amber, almost yellow. No real nose to speak of. Crisp attack, malty but very light. Finishes clean. Can drink a lot of them I guess, but nothing amazing. monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 1, 2012
An ok amber. Pours a really nice brown-orange. Smells slightly roasted. Tastes a little refreshing, with some cream. A little bit of a weird vinegar aftertaste.

Backlog purge. On tap at the inaugural Hop N Barley festival in Scotts Valley. Awful crystal malt bomb, iced tea with generic C hops.
