Draft at brewpub. So far Ive been pleasantly surprised. This one leaves unimpressed, very much so. Dark amber, small skin of head. Faint malty aroma, barely there. Taste doesn’t improve things much, more cola than beer. Mildly sweet and nutty, but not enough to save this. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 1, 2016
On tap @ Tied House. Darker amber colored beer with a thin layer of khaki foam. Pretty much a nutty brown ale here. There’s a nice toasted hazelnut and walnut thing going on. Some sweet caramel malts and a little bit of chocolate. Hints of coffee bitterness and earthy hops to balance the sweetness. Pretty decent, actually. Probably my favorite of their house beers. ben4321 (6506) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 20, 2016
Draft at Tied House in Mountain View. Clear amber. Nuts, roast, and caramel. Bit of toffee as well. Spice and earth. Balanced, though land sweet. Easy drinking. Very clean. kevinsenn (2214) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 29, 2016

Shared with gmellison. Reddish orange appearance with a thin tan head. Caramel, apple, dusty toasted malty nose. Twangy, caramel, sweet, red apple flavor. Pass.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that diminishes quickly to a film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and nuts. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, fruit and slight earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Average overall. GIJOE (1205) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - MAY 12, 2014
Dark amber pour. Thin white head. Sparse lacing. Nose is malty. Taste - sweet. Nearly full body. Lively carbonation. Standard brown ale. Good brew.

On tap, sampler. Light brown, not much head. Mild nose, malt and yeast. A bit thin on the attack, but overall pleasant if unremarkable. Might be good on a hot afternoon. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - AUG 1, 2012
Draft. A decent brown with plenty of body. Brown, cloudy, light head. Smooth without offtones. A very enjoyable brown. batneil (718) - - JUL 29, 2012
Claims to be English style, but it’s much fizzier than most British ales. Not bad though.
