Thin head with a clear and light straw colored body. Smells like Play-doh® in a 55 gallon barrel drum. Taste is nothing with slight metal bitterness. Super fizzy. Light body and slightly sticky. Pretty horrible here. It’s drinkable if it’s the only beer around and you’re coming off of a long period of not drinking... like a year or so.

Bottle at Hai Hai. Fond memories of drinking this often in Singapore. From memory, it's basically pale golden in color with not a lot of distinguishing characteristics. Aroma is grainy and has a slight skunky note. Taste is your standard lager with plenty of grain. This is the type of beer you seek out when it's humid and sweltering. Easy to drink and honestly on the better end of the lager spectrum. Memories push this score higher.

Das Tiger Lager Beer aus Singapur, vom Heineken Konzern. Geprägte Flasche, Etikett ist gut. Helles Goldgelb im Glas plus Minikrone. Zutatenliste: Wasser, Gerstenmalz, Maisgrieß und Hopfenextrakt. Gebraut in der EU unter Lizenz von Heineken Asia Pacific. Säuerlicher Antrunk, sehr wässrig süsser Körper, unangenehme Extraktbittere im Abgang. Nix für mich.

Bottle with a Thai dinner. Pours a crystal clear deep gold, decent looking low head. Corn starch aroma clears, sweet malt, cookie, light lemon. Sweet malt-forward flavour, light floral hopping, has a little more pleasant character than most of its ilk. Light and a tad watery, maintains its malt sweetness through to the end. Ok.

Splitenz (388) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 23, 2017
A fairly typical lager from a warm country. A bit more bite than a lot of its neighbours, to me it seemed not to be quite the rice bland beer I tasted in beers from Thailand, Combodia and Vietnam. Not really my go-to beer, but it doesn't stand in the shade of your Heineken or Carlsberg, and as such, I'd rather go for this at an Asian restaurant than many others. One real bonus is the fact that this beer doesn't taste cardboard of metal.

Asian pilsner with a long tradition and a Europpean taste. Good foaming beer with a bitter taste.

CanCrusher (1178) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - DEC 18, 2017
Bottle 0,33L. Courtesy of Kita. Clear, pale golden color with average big, long lasting, frothy, white head. Aroma of grain and bread. Light sweet at start, light bitter at the end and nothing in between. At least adding a new country in my beer map...

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2017 Malty lager, historic rating taken from 1001 Beers book where I’ve made a note of the score. No tasting notes.
