Deep dark red-brown pour with a mocha brown head. Aroma is roasted malt with a sweetness added. Taste is roasted malt, little burnt malt. Dry beer, really tasty. Great lacing. Nsanders (1136) - St Paul, Minnesota, USA - OCT 1, 2015
Tap at brewery. Black with a thin khaki head leaving thin rings on the glass. Big roasted malt, earthy coffee, dried wood and a little ash. Taste is lightly sweet with a dry earthy finish. Body is medium heavy with a light sticky feel. Strykzone (7305) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 8, 2015

Aroma is a mix of coffee, dark malts and mild dark/milk chocolate. The flavor is milk/dark chocolate, dark malts, coffee, fruit and big acidity/tartness in the finish. arminjewell (9584) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 23, 2015
Pour on tap, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark brown pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, roast, some slight smokey notes into a bit of coffee. Taste was a mix of roast, cocoa, dark chocolate into some slight dark fruit, hints of smoke, finishing slightly sweet.

From a growler. Nice brown pour, tan head. Hints of coffee, bitter chocolate, roasted malts. Nice flavor, just a hint of nuttiness here. Nice body, not overly chewy. This is available locally in 22 oz. bombers. Solid porter. Ratman197 (14674) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 9, 2014
Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of bakers cocoa, roasted malt and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, bakers cocoa and light earthiness with a smooth dry lingering bakers cocoa finish. AWISLguy (3016) - Wisconsin, USA - AUG 14, 2014
On tap at the source. Had numerous times so surprised never rated. Cola pour with a light head leaving almost no lace. Aroma has bakers chocolate and some caramel. Taste follows. Nice bitter-sweet blend, with solid depth. 14.8 Christpuncher (3109) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Like the porter from local tighthead brewery. Really easy to drink and not super smokey. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Had after my half miler

Draft at Jerry’s. Black with frothy, creamy, brown head, decent lacing / Herbaceous nose of roast coffee and chocolate / Medium to full body, acidic and toasty, lots of bitterness but overall very smooth / Flavors of grass, lemon, bittersweet chocolate, dark roast coffee / Quite nice, and easy drinking.
