COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Irie is a malty and complex India Pale Ale. Named for the Jamaican word Irie meaning good, excellent, great or of good quality, or "the state of feeling great, no worries", this beer is all of those and more. With an original gravity of about 1.070, the malt profile provides a sturdy backbone for the generous amount of Simcoe, Centennial and Columbus hops. American Ale yeast ferments this beer cleanly allowing the dank hop qualities to come through in all their glory IRIE Mon!

Very good beer! Appearance is a clear medium Amber with a long lasting off-white head and plenty of lace. Aroma is a blend of malt and a very fragrant Citrus grassy hop. Flavor is similar to nose with hops slightly dominating The Malt; a little sweet up front, bitter finish. Really good drinking beer.

Pint can. Beer is a cloudy caramel with an average off white head and nice lacing. Aroma is full of bright tropical fruit, sweet citrus, and pine resin. Flavor is tropical citrus up front. Mango, papaya, grapefruit mainly. Bitter pine and sweet caramel finish it out. Average mouthfeel and a somewhat dry finish. Good beer.

Sampled at gabf. Not nearly as red as the pic. Simcoe jops are evident. That comlexity. Thistles works for me. Fruit and floral. Pretty nice.

Poured from the bomber, nice cloudy yellow orange with a few fingers of foam. Got the hops and the citrus and some bitter on the back end. The last time I was to Mundelein it was a strip mall community hiding very nice houses, guess theyre branching out.
