Bottle from Beer-Jack! hauxe (969) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JAN 29, 2017
Pours copper colored with an off-white head. Aroma is roasty malty, caramelly. Taste has roased malts, sweet caramel and some slight chocolate. Finish is well balanced roasty and sweet.
Pours tawny brown from the bottle. The head is stable and frothy. A small web of lacing clings to the glass. In terms of appearance a very promising start. The aroma is a cherry, raisin caramel mix. On the whole the fruity notes are more pronounced than in a typical Dunkles. Taste is lightly sweet sour with a red berry flavor set atop the more more traditional caramel malt undertone. Finishes a bit tart. The body stays fairly light with no notes of water or alcohol. A nice brew. Tayeth (691) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JAN 28, 2017
Aroma nicht besonders intensiv: Duft nach Getreide, Malz und Sirup. Geschmack wenig intensiv und sehr wässrig. Kann man den Abend über trinken, aber nichts Besonderes.
