COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beer of mixed fermentation, the (Stout Rullquin)² is obtained from a blending of 7/8 of Rulles Brune and 1/8 of 1 year old lambics, which has matured for 8 months on oak barrels. Due to oversaturation in the bottle, this beer was put again in oak barrels, and then bottled for a second time. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, this beer is refermented in the bottle.

Bottle shared with zvsn at a tasting at Yoav's place. 2012/13 edition. Was purchased at the Gueuzerie during Tour The Gueuze 2017. Cloudy copper-amber with beige head. The aroma has notes of funk, yogurt, berries, wood, caramel and roast. Sour flavor with notes of wood, some roastiness, yogurt, lemon and some vinegar. Medium to full-bodied. Excellent.

Bottle shared with rayaron at a tasting. 2012 bottle, purchased at the brewery during TdG 2017. Hazy amber color. Aroma is funky, barnayard, cherries, red wine, vinegar. Sweet-sour, caramel, oak, prunes, cherries, light acetone, chocolate, lemony, feels more like Oud Bruin. Medium-bodied, low-carbonation. Delicious.

At a tasting, many thanks, small stable, bubbly fluffy head, murky brown color, aroma of caramel fruit, wax, vinegar and red wine, flavor of ripe berries and caramel, with some wax and chocolate and hints of dried fruits and vinous in the back, mellow medium sourness. Suprisingly different and really enjoyable.

750ml bottle @ Matt's. Pours a semi opaque somewhat dark brown colour with a thin off-white head. Nose is sweaty socks, wild yeasts, and salty leather. Flavour is all over the place, funky, leather, oak, yeasty, and sour. Very interesting, as it drinks like a dark gueuze.

Hazy, reddish-brown. Medium head. On the nose, there's a woody, touch roasty, Tart, bretty, Light roasty notes, but this has an interesting complexity to it. There's balance, and while I don't normally like dark sours, this has a nice cherry note, and good balance and complexity.

750ml bottle (thx, Erik M. for that!) at Matt's. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is typical for lambics - sour and fruity. Similar taste with some roasted nalt notes. Like a fark version of gueuze. Good one.

mcberko (20887) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 11, 2018
750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tinge and a smal beige head. Aroma reveals funky wild yeast, light toasted malt, and leather. Flavour is complex, with funky wild yeast, oak, leather, some barnyard, and toasted malt. Love the funky wild character here. Excellent stuff.

750 ml bottle at Moeder Lambik original. Clear dark copper brown color with small beige head that quickly disappears. Yeasty and malty aroma, light roasted, caramel, bread, some licorice, tart dark red and dark dried fruits, barnyard notes, leather. Sweet, bitter and acidic taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.
