Dry, lambic body, with a fruity, pungent, dry finish. Not only the best Timmermans, but also the best cassis. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2004
Nice black currant flavor, light tannins, hops. Amber brown clear with off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with good currant flavor, light hops. Sugary. Finish is chalky fruity. After is nice currant flavor. Decent cassis, but not spectacular. Nuffield (4180) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 14, 2003
Nice, distinctive flavor of cassis (my old boss introduced me to creme de cassis, put into the bottom of a wine glass before adding white wine, for a nice apertif). The first hit was sour, but after that it mellowed and carried through a certain bubbly drinkability. Not stunning in its boldness or complexity but a decent fruit lambic that my wife would enjoy. gnoff (10707) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JAN 27, 2006

Very acid in smell and taste, but just right, not too much. Copper in color. The type of lambic I would recommend to wine and cider drinkers that think they don’t like beer. Tried it from a bottle at "Pannrummet Kök & Bar" on January 27.

Definitely not a great Lambic by any stretch of the imagination. It is a little thin although it has good sourness. There ua a definite lack of strength in the black currant character of this beer. RobBestwick (934) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 17, 2003
Sour nose which I think is blueberries but is similar to raspberries, pours with an opaque cherry hue with a small reddish head, a small amount of lacing, overall impression is of sour blueberries, this is quite a good lambic jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - SEP 17, 2003
Bit dusty cassis aroma. Hazy, red color, small pink head, nice lace. Sour, tart, oak, fruity, cassis. Dusty dry very cassis finish. Actually the first Gueuze Cassis I liked. Jeppe (2631) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - JUN 6, 2004
Foamy though fast disappearing head on a amber orange body. Sour and woody in the aroma with some berries but not a lot. Flavor is quite dry and tart (more than expectet...) with obvious notes of old wood and blueberries. Foamy mouthfull. Good, but does taste a little old! UPDATED: JUN 6, 2004 A ruby red beer with a beutiful lasting pink head. The aroma is sweet fruity with strong notes of cherries. The flavor is slightly sour, but also sweet, with strong cherry notes, and it has a woody finish. A great flavor and the best cassis I've ever had, since it is not too sweet and has a fuller flavor.
