COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oude Gueuze is an appellation controlee : its label is protected. It is also known as the champagne of beers, especially as it is only available as a limited edition. Timmermans Oude Gueuze’s special flavour derives from its time-honoured method of preparation. It is a blend of old lambic, which has been aged for three years in wooden barrels, and young lambic which ensures spontaneous fermentation in the bottle. The different lambics are carefully selected by the brewer to obtain a perfect flavour. After it has been produced, Timmermans Oude Gueuze, which is refermented for four months in the bottle, continues to improve for 20 years.

Bottle as shown. Pours a hazey yellow with large frothy white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is citrus and tons of funk. Thin mouthfeel with a crisp tartness and lemon with nice sourness in the finish. Easy to drink lots of carbonation, a very impressive gueuze from Timmermans.

Bottled in 2016. Hazy golden body, no head. Aroma of funk, hay, sourish fruits. Flavours of sourish fruits, funk, hay, woody. Medium funky tart finish. Nice. Should try to age it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amazing, very sour taste of apples (and maybe grapes) and a bit of citrus background. Small, white head disappears in a matter of seconds. Yellow/orange, hazy color. Definitely would recommend.

Bottle @ brewhouse&kitchen, london/brewed 2013. Apple-like taste, sourness kicks in at the end. Very dry. Nice ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Festival Belgijskega Piva in Ljubljana. Pours a hazy, darker golden color, topped with a medium small white head. Soury white wine nose with wine vinegar all over it. Slight vanilla and spice. Strong pucekry sourness with a bit spicy finish. Hard sourness, fresh and light body. Nice one.
