COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The flavour of Timmermans Oude Kriek, refermented in the bottle, is without comparison. The cherries from which it derives its taste and colour it features traditionally come from Schaerbeek. Slightly acidic and with a wonderful bouquet, this natural and hence unpredictable brew requires careful handling throughout its long maturation period. Created from a blend of old and young lambic, Timmermans Oude Kriek keeps for 12 years. Like Timmermans Oude Gueuze, this is a precious drink, available in a limited edition only !

minutemat (5938) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2017
375ml bottle (bottled 2013) from Vanuxeem. Pours a misty blood red. Aroma of bristling thorny woody cherries. Taste is bright, acutely tangy with a sharp sour edge. A touch sherbet-sugary, but generally packs quite a hefty tangy sour hit, comparable to Lindemans Oude Kriek. Didn't think Timmerman's had this in them!

mabuzzer (896) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - SEP 17, 2017
33cl bottle in tulip glass. Deep red with a minimal pink head and low carbonation. Sour cherry aroma, flavour is very sour with wood and cherry flavours coming through on the end. Became less sour as it warmed up

DavidSvinth (210) - DENMARK - SEP 9, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 9, 2017 Rød og næsten uden skum. Heftig aroma af kirsebærsauce. Smager surt, halvtør og af kirsebær. Meget lidt brett. Anderledes kriek, der hverken er som de kommercielle søde krieks eller de knastørre oude krieks. Utroligt meget bundfald forresten - lidt for meget.

Cunningham (8246) - Halden, NORWAY - AUG 21, 2017
Deep red/amber color with almost no head. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and a quite soft carbonation level. Ok balance between sweetness and acidity. Oily texture. Lacks some complexity. Mostly Cherry, some almonds and oak in the flavor.
[Bottle at Den Gyldne Hne in Halden, Norway]

martpez (282) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2017
Bottled in 2013. Very sour lightly sparkling very little hints of cherry. Dry sour beer tastes come through better as the beer warms up tangy complexity with oak in addition to cherry notes. Good.

Mishnok (374) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2017
Good opaque claret colour with quite a bit of fizz going on. Big sour cherry taste with a dry, lip puckering tart finish. Very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - AUG 3, 2017
Tangy cherry and grapefruit. Good balance like Fox News’ imagination. Ruby pour with good head. Tangy and light sweet finish. Bottle pour at Churchkey.

Ferris (16268) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 20, 2017
Bottle - Sweet cherry that quickly turns sour and acidic. Deep burgundy with no head. Tart and acidic cherry with no real depth of flavor. Refreshing but not as interesting as some others.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 05.06.17. Clear ruby. White head. Super aroma and taste of sour dark cherries, brett and wood. Roasted almonds and dark cherries in aftertate. Dry. Very quaffable. Excellent.
