COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The flavour of Timmermans Oude Kriek, refermented in the bottle, is without comparison. The cherries from which it derives its taste and colour it features traditionally come from Schaerbeek. Slightly acidic and with a wonderful bouquet, this natural and hence unpredictable brew requires careful handling throughout its long maturation period. Created from a blend of old and young lambic, Timmermans Oude Kriek keeps for 12 years. Like Timmermans Oude Gueuze, this is a precious drink, available in a limited edition only !

Deep red color whith lots of quickly dissolving pink head. Lots of sour cherry aroma. The taste is very sour and quite salt with very clear cherry notes. Too acidic to my taste though I think it does have some charm. I expected it to be quite sour but was surprised by how salty it is also.

Clear dark red colour with small head that dissolved quickly. Aroma has really sour cherries, some sweet red berries too but mainly sourness. Taste has sour punch with cherries and some yeast notes. Very high carbonation with medium body. Maybe a bit too overkill sourness, even for me.

375ml bottle from High Point. Brewed on 2011, bottled on 2014. Pours a dark cherry color with a rose head. Aroma is slightly sweet with tons of cherries and some wild yeasts. Taste is sour, fermented cherries. Quite high level of acidity with some vinegary notes, with no residual sweetness. Overfermented IMHO, I would prefer at least some residual bitterness.

Very krushable kriek. Deep pink. Above average mouthfeel. The cherry thorough flavour, without edginess sourness. Thanks Brian.
