Timmermans Oude Kriek 5.5% codfishh (202) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 13, 2016
It pours a deep reddish brown with a thin fizzy head. The aroma is acetic, tart cherries, some woodsiness, a bit of sweetness but all around an attractive odor.
Very acidic, acetic vinegar sourness, cherries, almonds, man this is surprisingly acidic. I think it needs to be paired with something to cut the acidity or drunk in small doses.
375ml bottle, pours a brilliant ruby color with a thin pink head. Aroma is sour cherries and lacto. Tastes of tart cherry, more lacto not a lot of a Brett. Light body medium high carb. VDuquerroux (1895) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - FEB 7, 2016
Bottle, sample 20cL. @Brugs Bier Festival. A sparkling dark red garnet beer with a medium white head ; poor retention. Intense cherry (wow!), acid(++), woody note. First medium sour, then sharp acute dry sour ; just a sweet note that makes it more drinkable. Light body, thin texture, average carbonation, fruity acid lasting finish. Overall, really good kriek ; very sour ; hard to drink but that was a pleasure. I was so disappointed with the sugary kriek and other Timmermans fruity beers, I didn’t expect this quality for this Oude Kriek. tmrmwel (2289) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 1, 2016
Bottle, bottled 2014. Pours hazy red, with a small creamy pink head. Aroma is funky notes of cherry stones, fruit peel and berries, as well as cork, cellar and wooden bretty notes. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is acetic, with musty notes of forest berries, fruit peel and tannins, as well hay, cork, bretty wood and a good dose of funkiness. Lingering acetic, funky finish.

Bottle at cafe Sara, january 15th 2015. Dark red body with a small redtinted head. Aroma of cherries, funk, candy. Taste is sour, berries and hay, with an acidic tart finish. A notch up from the regular timmermans in my opinion. Gaultier (1888) - SWEDEN - JAN 22, 2016

Beer tasting @ Steves place. Bottle from belgolådan. Pours a red to Purple beer with medium head. Cherries and extremly sour with vinegar and cinnamon. Bone dry finish bottleforager (3211) - Gray, Maine, USA - DEC 26, 2015
Pours a deep vibrant cherry red color with a finger of pink foam. Nose is deep spicy cherry pie with layers of funk and earth must. Palate is way too sour for my palate. Burning throat acidity with lots of cherry flavor but just too much aceto and vinegar for me to enjoy.
