COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has instant appeal thanks to the hue of its ancestral garb and its fruity aroma which is so pleasant to the nose. Its flavour bitter but with a very slight sweetness recalls how pleasant it is to drink a beer thats saturated in history. Timmermans Tradition Kriek Retro is to be savoured in the same way that one beholds a painting by Breughel.

BOTTLE 37,5 CL, a year past BB date. Clear ruby, pink short lived head. Smells like dried sour cherries, sligtly acetic. Big sweet and sour taste, slightly winey and pleasantly acetic, with a nice dry rotten cherry note. Not lambic. Quite good.

375ml bottle. Pours reddy orange in colour with a white foam head and aroma of sweet fruity cherry & funk. Taste is sweet & funky, dessert cherry, citric, with biscuity & grainy notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, with some residual sweetness at the finish. Quite OK.

Bottle. @Les Herbiers, France, La Cervoiserie. A sparkling dark red garnett beer with a small to medium white ehad ; average retention. Cherry ( "nice" fruity), sugar, light syrup. Light to medium sugary sweet, light to medium sour ; light refreshing. Light to medium body, light to medium sticky texture, average to soft carbonation, fruity sweet acid finish. Overall, yes, quite fair.

F: big, more white than pale pink, quick gone. C: red to brown, clear. A: cherries, hint of apple, light woody, candy. T: /cherries 9,5%, apple 2,6%, elderberries 1,2%/ + ascorbic acid, it seems quite unusual, cherries, apple, hint of woody, simple fruity sourness, cherries candy, not complex at all, citric, medium body, good carbonation, nothing special here for me, 37,5cl bottle from Carrefour market @ Etterbeek, Brussels.

Pours a slightly hazy red from the bottle with bubbly pink head that leaves light lace. Aroma of sweet fruitiness, a hint of funk underneath. Taste follows, a bit of acidity there too. Not the best of the trip.

Thanks for sharing Kapusil! Sour yeast plain old lambic aroma, not really getting cherries. First sip: Nice mild cherry with even sourness. Very light sour lambic, sweeter, but not too sweet. More and more sour with subsequent sips. Nice sour cherry palate. Still not my favorite style but really quite nice and refreshing; both in taste and in as a change of pace in beer styles.
