Pint in the Bricklayers Arms, Putney. Not a great Mild - went flat very quickly, and looks the colour of cola. I found it to be rather watery and low on hops. The low AVB makes it quite quafable, but it isn’t a memorable pint.

Cask @ The Wharf, Aalborg. Clear very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and a little roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 230917

Dark, almost porter colour with an attractive beige head. Disappointingly thin and light in flavour without very much of either caramel or roastiness. Looks better than it tastes.

BlackHaddock (7674) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2017
Cask in The Woolly Sheep, Skipton on 9th April 2017. Very dark brown in colour, lightly tanned head of smooth foam. Malty and chocolatey with light coffee notes woven into the nose and taste. Easy drinking Mild with enough going on to want another.

Toasted, dark malts, bread, light coffee. Dark brown, tiny, beige head. Light bitter. More dark, toasted malts, cacao, flat carbonation, light bodied. Quite a light mild, nothing too exciting. Cask at Henry Addington, Canary Wharf.

Cask gravity at the St Albans BEER festival 2016. A clear mahogany brown reddy coloured pour with a small off white head. Aroma is earthy choc, nutty praline, soft fruits twigs, apple. Flavour is composed of dried choc, berries, fruit, praline tangy. Palate is semi sweet, grainy, good cask condition decent enough.

Cask at the Thirty-Nine Steps - Broadstairs. Pours brown-black with a light, foamy tan head. Very faint cocoa in the nose, also some toasted toffee. Light sweet flavour with darkened bread, faint roast, hints of dark berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Basic dark malts in the finish, with hints of dark fruits, berries, mild cocoa. A very simple mild.

Scopey (15704) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2016
Cask at the Royal Albert, New Cross. It pours clear dark brown with a light tan head. The aroma is brown bread, fruit cake, malt loaf and toasted malts. The taste is mellow, rich, toasted malt, brown bread, touch of dried fruits, big malt loaf character and some caramel. Light body and soft carbonation. Pretty OK for the style, but I was hoping for a touch more oomph.
