Not much head and no lacing. I liked the flavour. I am not much for the look, unless someone is watching, lol, ya right. The taste is a little more smokey than the brown ale and sweeter. You get bitterness and some orange. I would have it again because it really doesn’t fit any expectations, and so rises into it’s own. bulldogops (2726) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 8, 2013
500ml bottle. Clear amber pour with a beauteous white head, mild spotty lacing. Aroma is caramel malts, ginger, orange zest. Was expecting a fizzy, gingery mess, but this is balanced, crisp mouthfeel, not dominated by any one characteristic, a classic amber that isn’t messy at all, just a malt forward, spicy ale. simonblaine (576) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 1, 2013
Pours brown, minimal head. Watery, thin flavors, but I seem to taste more with every sip.....odd. Maybe the lingering flavors build up? Anyway, not a favorite, uninspiring. Next. RichardGretton (4772) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2012
Bottle. Muddy brown beer with a light head. The aroma is oaty and mildly malty, and the flavour is quite thin with oaty yeastiness and malts. Overall quite a plain oaty flavoured beer.

650ml bottle pours amber in color with a small white head that has some decent retention and settles to a thin spotty lacing. Aromas of light caramel malts and hints of cinnamon and ginger with some orange zest. Taste is mild caramel malt sweetness with some ginger and spices and a mild hop bitterness in the finish. A refreshing and easy to drink amber ale.

Unclear copper, foamy off white head fades. Caramel malt aroma and taste, not much else. I get no spices or orange. Low hopped, softly carbed, kinda thin. Sours a bit. Finishes like it starts. Disappointing. LF (Lagerboy Friendly) fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 14, 2012

Hazy amber color; creamy head. Simple aroma, dry mouthfeel, light caramel flavor. Correct bitterness. Easy beer.
Amber colour with a quality head and lace cling to the glass. Strong honey and malt aroma. Rich honey flavour with a bitter malt finish. Rich ale overall. thepegjett (1260) - Cambridge (via Winnipeg), Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2011

Okay brown body with pretty much no head. Soft aroma of ginger. Flavour is a messy skunky mess of ginger and vegetable with a dry malty finish. Half points, I suppose, but that’s not a very good thing to begin with.
