Faint sweet aroma.Mild bitter hop flavor.Average Sweet light pilsner. jazz88 (2677) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 24, 2002
Bottle. Interesting flavor. Smooth and an unexpectedly fuller body. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 29, 2002
Light gold color, small head. Light tasting, slightly maltly, not very hoppy. Not a lot of taste. Mouthfeel is neutral. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is neutral. Not much to this beer. Etched beer bottle. loweredsixth (946) - Clovis, California, USA - SEP 11, 2002
Interesting. The color was a boring light gold, and the beer poured no head. The aroma/flavor was similar to slightly burnt roasted peanuts. It wasn’t bad, just different. Not a complex beer in any respect. A little better than Bud. AxeMaster221 (343) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 13, 2002
Well i was surprised to say the least, this was better than i thought it would be. Not a lot of aroma, and pours a pale yellow , like so many American macros, but there the comparison stopped. Had a creamier head that lasted longer than any US macrobrews, and had a lot more flavor, and no unpleasantness in the palate. Certainly not something im gonna search for, with so many great beers in the world, but hey, if i was in Russia, and couldnt get any good vodka, i could do this.

Believe it or not this is actually a good beer. Not a great beer but it is still superior to many beers from large national breweries. I have noticed the quality is inconsistant (but some how I expect this from the form Soviet Union) so try it a few times before you judge it. 21iceman40 (1735) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 10, 2001
Russian beer, I could taste the vodka in this tuff. THis was totally russian. I think it has been getting some disrespect, but i still like it. BeerNazi (169) - winnetka, California, USA - SEP 20, 2001
not good at all,worse then bud,coors,and miller. joet (2604) - Wilsonville, Oregon, USA - AUG 25, 2001
Ah! Fizzy yelow beer from... RUSSIA! Missing some clarity, barley malt with obvious adjuncts, bitter and a bit of fruit. JBowz99 (26) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 21, 2001
Tinkov is a difficult beer to judge. The first bottle I ever had of the stuff left me very impressed. However, the quality varies quite a bit between bottles and I have never since had one that lived up to the first.
