The juiciest, tastiest, most delicious IPAs and Pale Ales are of the West Coast style, using the fruity, spicy, resinous hops from the beautiful west coast of America. From Washington State in the north, through beer-mad Oregon, to the Golden State which inspired the name for our new beer – Cali.

That’s right, we’ve brewed a West Coast APA packed full of juicy fruit notes and big hop resins. It’s like drinking sunshine, palm trees, good surfing and Hollywood.

Think 90210 comes to NP20. Goldie Hawn meets Goldie Lookin’ Chain. Newport Beach via Newport, Gwent.

We’ve packed this Hollywood superstar full of Mosaic, Simcoe and a new hop in our brewhouse. Equinox brings an amazing blend of sweet tropical fruit notes and earthy wood qualities that combine with Mosaic and Simcoe for great depth of flavour.

Cali will be coming to you from January in bottle and on keg, so keep an eye out in all good bars and bottle shops

330ml can (Selwyn College Bar, Cambridge). Why the fck did I needed that? There was plenty of beer in me already. Ohh well here I am, stuck with this warm stuff. Yeah they served me that warm. Straight out of fridge and warm. Damn. It's sickly sweet and soapy. Some +++ mess in it too. Only 1 way to end this nightmare.... yeah last sip and leave rest of it on the table and flee. Done!

bilcho1 (282) - Ruse, BULGARIA - MAR 11, 2018
330ml bottle at a private tasting at Zarazbirachi, ruse, Bulgaria. Pours slightly cloudy with a thin fast-settling foam and froth head, heavy lacing but no bead. Dirty yellow colour. On the nose, strong citrus predominated by grapefruit and tangerine, with hints of honey, pineapple and hazelnut. In the mouth, smoothly fizzy with fine carbonation, flavours similar to the aromas, medium bitterness, almost no sugar, leading to a crisp finish. Overall, a refreshing APA.

330ml can. Pours bright orange with a nice white head. Grapefruit, pine needles, herbal, mango, earthy, quite bitter towards the end. Medium body. Nice.

Tap at the Junkyard. Pours golden, off white lace halo. Aroma is bread malts and citric hops. Taste is medium bitter and lightly sour. Palate medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, sour finish. All the familiar ingredients are there save inspiration which is more evident in the blurb than the beer.

HogTownHarry (7447) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - FEB 4, 2018
September 11, 2017 - at Craft (Clerkenwell) - on draught keg. Bubbly hazy gold with a gorgeous creamy off-white head - fantastic lacing. Catty aroma, unripe mango and ... yum. Taste follows, dry, more alcohol - so much good about it, not much to describe ... Solid body, long, bitter fruity finish - terrific beer.

Skarecrow (1149) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 27, 2018
330ml can. Hazy gold color with OK head. Grapefruit, biscuit malt and pine aroma. Medium bitterness. Quite a resinous hop palate and taste. Nice.

mariuspoenari (3211) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 31, 2017
Sampled at Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017 - day 1. Clear amber pour with a white head. Notes of citrus, grapefruit, a bit of sugar. Bittersweet and OK overall.

When I first opened the can I had a peppered burst and a mouthful of what tasted almost like Stilton, which was incredibly bizarre. Leveled out to be a decent can of summery IPA (perfect for the winter!) so I don’t know what the hell all that was about. Can from some bar in Cardiff.
