Welsh Red Ale
Probably the best word ever. Cwtch (rhymes with butch) can mean either cuddle or cubbyhole. Grab a glass, relax and cwtch up with this untraditional Welsh red ale - a perfect blend of six caramelly malts and three citrussy American hops.

It isnt your average bitter - the hops do more to this deep amber coloured beer than just provide bite. Any old hop can do that! Weve selected some of the most aromatic and tangy hops from the other side of the pond to give this red a fresh hit that complements the caramel flavours of the malts that gives this beer its colour. Drinkability and balance makes this beer.

We love a good Cwtch, and were not the only ones

From miguel. In Teku glass. After dinner + playing 12 Labours of Hercules 12. Superb hoppy aroma, below in taste but leaves nice aftertaste. Caramel and pine. Good feeling for such low abv, probably thanks to a high carbonation that doesnt hide the taste

Ok, but a bit dull to the taste, though a nice beer for a red ale. Lacks character ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Unexpected tick. Murky, dark red. Thick, lively, foamy, off white head. Nose has pink grapefruit. Pine sap. Raspberry jam. Sweet, cakey malts. Taste has a spicy fruit sweetness, turning resinous and chewy bitter. Smooth mouthfeel. Prickly carbonation. Chewy bitter finish. Nice one.

Pours with a good head. Color is delicious dark, slightly amber lager. Its slightly cloudy. Bready and fruity aroma has yeast, licorice, earth and grass, horse, sushi condiments, fresh herbs like mint. Palate is well balanced and quite dry. Taste is dense and has hemp, bitter IPA like hops, bubble gum, a bit of pick n mix candy, sweet potato like taste. A very delicious and "colorful" beer that is somewhat IPA-like but clearly more to the ale style. And this is a good combination, because the sweetness and yeastiness of ale balances the sharpness of the IPA notes.

On tap at Vrteka. Reddish golden-amber body. Creamy aroma, tropical fruit hoppiness balanced with a solid maltiness. Very drinkable, tropical fruit resting on soft maltiness, light bitterness. Yeah, no more descriptors, but this is a fantastic session beer. Loved it!

Aroma; dirty tropics, rough pine, some caramel, wood, barbeque. Look; beige head, hazy amber-red-brown body. Taste; grapefruit peel, resiny caramel, bitter mango, wood, ash, barbeque, and a hoppy finish. Feel; normal. Overall; ok, good with spicy dishes. Bottle. Reddish brown appearance with a small head. Unusual perfume like flavour which is quite complex. Interesting and well worth trying.

Cloudy deep amber colour with good sized off white foam. Aromas of orange peel, notes of coffee, light touch of tropical fruits and hops ith caramel back. Palate, full body with smooth texture leaving subtle hoppy finish. Taste, bittersweet of rye, grains and straw mixed with stronger hops and herbs. Overall, not bad, I am a huge fan of rye ales. Although it is a cross between malty rye beer and IPA which is nice, and tastes really good, but would prefer malty rye.
