Cask, Famous Royal Naval Volunteer, Bristol, 17/01/14. White-haloed mahogany. Cinder toffee, coffee grounds and blackcurrant/blueberry nose. That flavour with an earthy woodland, citrusy coffee base overlaid with blueberry and bitter chocolate. Some grilled veg and pepper. Curry leaf hop. Balanced flavoursome...whatever it is. Norwich Tap House. Dark brown with a small head that quickly disappeared. Tasted like woodland -with pine, earth plus some dark malty cake and coffee. A tad thin with fine carbonation. Didn’t really feel like I was drinking a BIPA, more of a rebellious porter. downender (8687) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2013
