COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our ‘Maori Pale Ale’ came together after months of experimentation with a very unique hop – Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand. Strong grape flavours are complimented by the sweet Munich malt, makings this beer crisp and refreshing.

Clear, yellow-golden colored, fizzy, strong white puffy head, good lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is of pale malt, moderate tropical fruity and grape aroma. Taste is medium to light sweet malt, some biscuit, medium- grape and tropical fruity aroma, medium to light bitterness, dryish finish. Medium to light bodied, average+ carbonation, bit oily. Crisp and refreshing indeed. (bottle, Bierboutique, Graz)

The first breath takes you to Neslon Sauvin heaven with it’s full, crisp and citrus aromatic aroma. Wonderful.... untill the first hop blast disappears... then, will covered by the hops, a unpleasant cheesy tone breaks through. Buh! The taste is then clearly characterized by the tropical fruit mix, enhenced by an somewhat artificial gummibear taste (hidden in the hops again). Another thing that displeases me, the beer has no body and for an hop forward beer an disappointing slap finish. Even as this is an overhopped Pale Ale (no IPA) with a quite low ABV, there should be more than just a Neslon Sauvin facade.

On tap at Cirkus, Stavanger. Pours almost clear golden with a small white head. Weak grainy aroma with some citrus and piney hops. Taste is light sweet, decent dry citrus hops at the finish, soft carbonated, dry finish with oranges and tangerines, very good and well balanced beer.
