2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a very pale, cloud yellow with a thin white head that quickly fades away leaving small amounts of lacing as the beer is drank. First smell is overwhelmingly phenolic. As the beer sits more esters show themselves. First taste is medicinal followed by an alcohol like burn that is surprising coming from a relatively low ABV beer. I thought perhaps the bottle was bad so grabbed another from the same six pack, same results. The spice and lemon in the beer attempts to grab attention, but are barely noticeable against the phenols. The mouthfeel was light and overly carbonated. Not a pleasant experience at all, am hoping it’s a bad batch. Will try again in the future and update the review.
Picked up a six pack of this local favorite. The head is thin and righteously white, which fizzles out quickly. The appearance is a bright gold. The body is light. The aroma is straw, wheat, with slightly mellow earthy hops. The taste is mostly wheat with a slight sweetness in the end. slowrunner77 (12147) - Reno, Nevada, USA - DEC 23, 2015
@Sequoia in Fresno. Nice n fruity. Nothing special but not offensive either. Ended up being better in style than half their beers. MrTipple (5378) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2015
Aroma: some wheat, yeast, light citrus. Appearance: hazy gold, medium, creamy, white head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: fruitiness continues, some oranges, wheat again, maybe some banana, grain malts. Overall: OK Wheat Ale, nothing too exciting though. Bottle at Curry Village, Yosemite National Park. PorterPounder (8086) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 17, 2015
Mariposa, Ca - Savoury’s Restaurant - 12 oz bottle. Hazy, light golden pour, soft snow-white head. Coriander and cloves in the aroma. Flavor has some clove-like accents, some bubble gum sweetness, a a hint of coriander spiciness. Crisp clean mouthfeel. batneil (719) - - JUL 30, 2015
Pale yellow colour with little head and visible fizz. Quite a creamy taste, but with slight sharpness. Decent wheat beer. (K)

12oz bottle to cervoise. Cloudy golden yellow. White fluffy head. Aroma of lemon, lemon peel, fresh-squeezed OJ, and wheat. Taste is big wheat, followed by a lot of lemon. Finish is slightly bitter with wheat cracker and fresh citrus juice. Mouthfeel is moderate-light. Good carb. Overall the lemon works. Refreshing. Digzis (109) - Nancy, FRANCE - SEP 8, 2014
This was pretty nice. Vey light but the lemon actually works with this beer, which is high praise from a lemon hater. theisti (4138) - Kansas, USA - JUN 2, 2014
½ liter draft at the Curry Village in Yosemite, California. I also had this from the bottle, purchased as a single bottle at the Lodgepole general store in Sequoia National Park. The pour is hazy golden yellow with a well formed one inch white head. The aroma is cracker bread malt, wheat grain, along with lemon citrus and lemon peel. Bright nose. The taste is a fresh clean blend of the bread wheat grain malt and the lemon citrus notes. Muted yeast flavor. The palate is light to medium bodied, unfiltered mouth feel, active carbonation and a crisp mineral finish. Really hit the spot. dasdan (235) - BELGIUM - SEP 22, 2013
12 FL oz bottle from the hotel shop in Yosemite US.
Shared with Ilse. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Nice wheat aroma. Medium-strong carbonation. Nice Wit beer. ***
