Dark brown with a big and lasting creamy off-white head. Fruity and roast aroma with dates, raisin, chocolate and licorice. Rich and malty flavour roast complexity. Could be a little brother to my favourite beer in the world, Ølfabrikken Porter. thewolf (12592) - Kolding, DENMARK - AUG 25, 2008

[thank you, Brugsmansia/fonefan]
Pours clear broen with virtually no head. Aroma is sweet, light chocolate and coffee with some toffee notes. Flat and a little bit thin. Flavour is dry, lots of roasted notes giving way to sweet chocolate and coffee in fine balance.
Botella. Deep dark brown colour with a short head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, bit coffee and caramel. Soft pleasant mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of chocolate with a good soft roasty maltiness, coffee and caramel. Dry roasty malty chocolate finish. leaparsons (10546) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2007
Bottle. Black with a beige head. Aromas are sweet and earthy with mollasses. Oaty and rich, smells dark. Flavours are sweet malts with roast and smoky notes. Rich and dark. Good stuff. Fin (10539) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2007
Bottle from Beers of Europe, consumed outside my tent at Towersey Festival Dark brown with little head to speak of, quite smokey on the aroma but with some bitter chocolate and coffee in there. Coffee more prominent in the taste, very tasty beer by the way, dark fruits and nicely underpinned with a good solid malty base, lovely beer.

TFODRBSG08 Courtesy of Brugmansia. The color is dark brown with a red hue. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and a little chocolate. The mouthfeel is flat and the flavour has notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, a light sweetness and hints of fruit. It’s hard to believe, that this isn’t a porter. (Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 10 Nov 2008) Very dark ruby colour, almost black, with brief foamy brown head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dark fruit, chocolate, wild berries and hints of port. Malty, fruity taste with chocolate, sweetened black coffee and dark fruit. Medium body, fairly sweet. Low carbonation makes it quite flat. Nicely balanced with a bittersweet finish. In short: bittersweet fruit and chocolate with a touch of port. Plovmand (8304) - Helsinge, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2008
