...wasnt as Juicy as I was hoping for, more of a muttled fruit juice IPA than a DoubleIPA.
On draft at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy straw color with a thick foamy white head. Aroma of sweet citrus and tropical fruit, lots of pineapple, and bready malt. Taste of grapefruit, pine, tangerines, tropical fruit, bread, and black pepper in the finish. callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 2, 2014
Hazy straw-orange color, medium to thin white head, soapy lacing. Pineapple, orange zest, some tropical notes, pine, and a moderate dose of sweet malts. Medium to full bodied, gentle carbonation, mild bitterness in the finish, not quite dry enough in comparison to TH’s successes. digrod (138) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 1, 2014
Day old growler from the brewpub. Pours a hazy golden with white head. Smells of tangerine and apricot. Tastes of papaya, pineapple, coconut and melon. Another amazing DIPA from TH TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 31, 2014
Screw-top growler, almost a week old from the source. Cloudy orange brown with a pocked white head. Nose is orange marmalade, pineapple, toffee and sweat. Creamy with a soft buzz. Seems uncompromised by the extended fridge time. This one on the fruity side. Peach, melon, pine and tangerine peel. Restrained for a double. Nice. jdb288 (584) - Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA - MAR 31, 2014
Draft at Tired Hands. Pours cloudy orange/gold with tall white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, pineapple, some floral notes, little bit of funk. Taste is bright, sweet, and full of flavor. Hops come through here quite well with some great sweetness from the malt. Exactly what I look for in a DIPA.

Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head... Light lacing all the way down. Aroma has pineapple, melon and tangerine. Flavor follows suit...adds some rind, hoppy spice and earthy bitterness...pretty juicy. Mouthful is medium and the finish is dry and slightly bitter. On tap at the brewpub, pours ultra murky peach color with small to medium head, doesn’t last that long. Nice lacing. Aromas and taste are orangey hops, bitterness, sugar, oats, and pine. Might have been too much falconers and not enough galaxy. It lacked juiciness but it’s tough to get that on doubles. Significantly better as it warmed for me. Finishes with a good bit of tangerine bitterness which was fine in my book but I prefer the 1st level this trip.
