Growler courtesy of drabmuh. Served in Tired Hands stemware. Pours a somewhat-cloudy pale peach color with a short white head. The nose brings some crisp apple, light malt and wheat, and a moderate amount of acidity. Flavor has apple and acid with a touch of lemon. Fairly acidic. Quite nice. jcartamdg (3409) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2012
Pours a pale gold with a thick head. Aroma of sour wheat, lemon and hay. Taste follows, tart and citric, probably one of the most tart Berliners I've ever had, some bitterness from the hops, so good and so easy to drink. I love this beer

On tap. Hazy yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Lacing left on the glass. Aromas of citrus, some musty wheat, and fruity. Tastes of lemons (some lemon pledge), pineapple, rinds, and wheat. Tart and sour finish. jmm635 (1004) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 16, 2012
Poured a hazy but bright yellow with a thin white head. Good lacing. Pineapple and melon juice aroma. Some basement funk. Tart flavor. Lively and wine-like on the tongue. Good with the blueberry syrup but better without in my opinion. sisuspeed (62) - New Hampshire, USA - JUL 16, 2012
Poured into a Drie tumbler. Hazy, golden straw color with a thin ring of foam on top and light lacing. White grape, yeast and straw on the nose with a light sourness throughout. Malty hay and light grape on the tongue. Sweet, crisp sourness on the finish. Body is light and refreshing. Overall, this was a pleasure to drink on a hot summer night. Very juicy with a nice touch of acidity.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 Hazy golden-yellow body, moderate sized white head, spotty lacing. Nose is dominated by a bright citric and tropical fruit zest, lightly musty, and mild funk and wet hay. Flavor is similar with lemon and pineapple taking center stage. The mustier notes fall off a bit here though. Puckering tartness. Light bodied, assertive carbonation. Overall, I’d like to have seen a bit more complexity to really push this to elite status. I didn’t take notes on the syrup version, but I preferred the base beer better. egajdzis (6502) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 13, 2012
Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, must, wheat, and wet grains. Taste of lemon peel, tart wheat, and a sour finish. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2012
Pours hazy gold with a white head. The aroma brings dusty, musky attic and some fruit - maybe pineapple and passion fruit. The flavor brings some nice fruit notes at first as well, then the zingy tart comes in quickly on the tongue. It is smooth and settles pleasant with sour mix tart notes. patrickfannon (1241) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2012
On tap at Tired Hands. Pours light yellow golden with a thin, wispy white head. Aroma of champagne yeast, pineapple, soft Brett, must, and some nice bitter lemon zest. Taste is nearly the same, but gets a little fruity, earthy kick from the blueberry syrup when added. I prefer it sans syrup. Great bear all around; well balances, beautifully sour/tart, and tasty as hell. Love it.

On tap at brewpub, pours a hazy light golden color, with medium white head that didn’t last, no lacing. Aromas of melon, wet wood, lemon rinds, and some other funk.Taste is very tart lemons, touch of melon, not much blueberry but def some grape skins and some other dark fruits. Very tart berliner. Medium bodied with dry finish. Not bad. Oh wait u have to add your own syrup. This is much more enjoyable with the blueberry syrup addition, prolly could have used another squirt of that blueberry juice.
