Pour: Completely hazy, dark, dark brown. Nearly black. Two fingers of creamy, khaki head form. Head recedes rather quickly, and doesn’t leave too much lacing.
Smell: Big red wine presence up front, followed by some really nice tart pear and lemon juice. Lots of roasted malts and light brown sugar complete the nose.
Taste: Wow. Again, red wine really comes out strong up front, but immediately mellows in a clean tart lemon juice. Some pear skins. A really nice tart funk throughout. As it warms, some clean toffee and a strong oakeyness come through, as well a a light peppery spiciness. Finishes dry, tart with lemons, and a smooth roastiness.
Mouthfeel: Incredibly drinkable. A really, really nice creamy mouthfeel. Carb is quite velvety. Surprisingly refreshing. Finishes dry,
Overall: This offering from Tired Hands is really something special. Similar in some aspects to Civil Disobedience #4 from Hill Farmstead. Tired Hands best beer yet. Well done.

Pours black with a creamy medium mocha head..nice retention and lacing.. Aroma has tart wine notes...cherry and chocolate creeping through. Flavor has rye and dark chocolate with a hint of sour cherry, earthy and oaky notes...a bit of bold roastiness. Mouthfeel is medium and silky and the finish is roasty/tart cherry and dry. Pours jet black with a big mocha head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee with cream and tart fruit. Taste is tart, chocolatey, creamy, red wine and roast. Crazy complex, so much going on but somehow it all works together.

On tap at Tired Hands. Pours a moderate brown color. Nose is really nice with milk chocolate alongside a very faint roast, then backed by earthiness, faint acidity, and a nice wine touch. Flavor packs some moderate acidity alongside oak and wine notes, plus a backing earthy saison. Really interesting, and also quite drinkable. Pours dark unclear in color, pretty close to a stout, with a really nice beige head. The aroma brings a pleasant blend of saison yeast and the wine barrels bringing a wild characteristic that I love.
