Smells like meaty bret, lemon, and salt. Flavor is nicely spiced with citrus and the bret is amazing. Creamy and delicious. So good.
In short: A citrusy pale IPA with bright clean bretty funk. Excellent.Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - SEP 2, 2013
How: Tap at Hill Farmstead FoFA 2013.
The look: Cloudy peach color body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: Nose has plenty of fresh citrusy hops along with nice bright brett that propelles the aroma into funky fruity territory over some floral notes. The beer has a nice mouthfeel with a carbonation that explodes inside the mouth without being aggressive. Taste doesn’t disappoint. The beer fruitiness covers a lot of territory that includes peaches, lemon juice zest, bananas, oranges and many more. The funk has a very bright and clean character (no dirty horse blanket here) that blends well with the fresh fruits flavors and pushes forward the grapefruits. A mild tartness, medium bitterness. bone dry finish. Overall the beer feels very clean despite the brett presence. Refreshing and easy to drinkable in large quantity despite being very tasty. I’m a sucker for well made funky IPA and this one kicked ass. I drink a lot of beer but I blame my excessive drinking on my dad who left us when I was six, he had to go to work and he came back in the evening, but still, that’s my excuse for drinking so much.
Poured at HFS FoFa. Nice mix of dank hop notes and dusty lemon funk. Nice fruit undertones and hints of bitterness roll into a smooth refreshing finish !
Tasty. Reynolds314 (3450) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Great simple funky saison. Nice light lemony brettyness and citrus hops are still present. Crisp fresh and complex. Winner. SrSilliGose (3331) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - AUG 11, 2013

Jean said this keg is 7 months old really doing great things and could sit longer hazy lemon. Grainy and zesty. Lemons and pine. Exceptionally dry with Brett. Really nice! markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Thanks to jcartamdg for sharing this one. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is slight wine, some funk, some pineapple, some sweet malt, and lemony citrus character. Flavor is similar- citrus, vinous fruit, some sweet malt, and some lemon, apricot, and citrus. Medium in body and very nice overall. jcartamdg (3436) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Pours a hazy gold with no head. Aroma of Brett, tropical fruits, funk and citrus. Taste is bitter and funky yet light and refreshing

Growler shared at Craft Ale House bottle night. Poured hazy gold with fizzy white head. Nose was funky Bretty, with some lactic acidity and fruit. Tastes tart, but not too tart with a lo of carbonation, a lot of fruit flavor, and a finishing sweetness to match the acidity. Well balanced and smooth. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - MAR 3, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. Distant cottony aroma. Brett is there and so are some hops, but it’s confused, muddled and quiet. Flavors begin with a dried out, webby Brett and then finish with a slightly goaty and very strongly bitter old hop resin. I’m not sure. The Brett has chewed through almost everything without leaving any fun Brett tropical characters and the hops have aged out or been obliterated in terms of flavor, leaving only unbalanced bitterness. Not my favorite, unfortunately.
