Bottle from the release. Served in a Tired Hands wine glass. Really nice cherry presence along with a touch of bourbon and oak. Mild chocolate. Medium body. Faint acidity. Pretty nice and the cherry is a really nice addition. Nice and tart without being too fruity.

Aroma of cherry, tart funk and slight sugar. Pours hazy brown with slight film. Taste is tart with iron, cherry, slight oak notes and a cellar funk. Fairly one dimensional.

Murky black red with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, dark fruits, cherry, bourbon. Taste of dark fruits, vanilla oak, cherries, bourbon, and dry, tannic wood in the finish. I liked the nebula better.

Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Pours dark murky brown unclear as well with a creamy beige head. The aroma brings some sweet yeast and funky sour cherry with a bit of the Bean barrel influence. Flavors bring the Bean barrels, some spicy whiskey, with notes of the yeast a bit sour here too, like in the Nebula.

blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Bottle at James’ place. Pours deep amber with a thin beige head. Grape, cherry, and dark fruits, just a little bit of bourbon, a hint of tartness, and light spicy notes. I don’t know how the hell all that came together so well but this was really damn good.

Pours amber brown with no head. Aroma of cherries, bourbon and vanilla. Taste is tart, lacto, bourbon and cherries. Very nice, a lot going on but very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

callmemickey (4542) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Dark brown body with some chestnut highlights, medium tan head, spotty lacing. Nose shows cola, cherries, chocolate, vanilla, and vinous notes. Flavor displays more whiskey barrel influence than the nose and the cherries are more muted. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light acidity, rounded finish.

Bottle at James’ place for a tasting. Pours a deep brown with a thin beige head. Lightly funky on the nose, roast and a bit of wood. Medium bodied, funky with some vinous notes, light oak. Tangy on the finish, lingering light funk. Damn good work Jean.

jtclockwork (16561) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Bottle shared at tasting at my house. Pours very dark brown with tan head. Nose and taste of desert wine, oak, dusty cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, red wine, roasted cherries and lightly funky citrus hops. Whiskey barrel is minimal, which is good and adds some complexity to the brew. Very well crafted. Medium body. Dryish finish.

reggiedunlop (3724) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Pours dark brown with ruby hues and a medium tan/mocha head...nice creamy lacing. Aroma has some oaky notes, tart cherry, a touch of chocolate and vanilla...lightly vinous...faint whiskey without being boozy. Flavor has some mild dark chocolate and nice tart cherry...light and brief creamy vanilla...very oaky. Mouthfeel is light/medium and the finish is very oaky and dry.
