32 oz. growler from watson1077. Thanks Kerry! This one pours a very dark brown color with a small brown head. The aroma is very nice with rich notes of black coffee, chocolate and light caramel. No hops. Smells rich. The flavor is coffee forward, but not overly so. Nice notes of caramel and oats with some chocolate. Full bodied and silky on the palate. It had lost some carbonation over the trip, but still had enough to satisfy me. The finish has a faint note of acidity and more roasted coffee. Very nice, balanced take on the style. Pours a murky brown. Aroma is coffee grounds, dirt, and cola. Taste is muddled and watery with some nice coffee notes hidden in there. Not my favorite. j12601 (13114) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Had this at the tasting at the hotel in Waterbury on our Vermont trip. Pours a clear brown cola color with a little bit of a ruby and orange tinge with a thin to medium sized beige head. Smells of really rich deep coffee, a lot of tannins and roast. Medium bodied, light carbonation, the very faintest touch of green pepper into a lot of sweetness and caramel, and more coffee. Moves toward roast into the finish, long lingering bitterness. czar (9430) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 30, 2013

From a growler at the Best Western in Waterbury, Vermont. Really nice oat-backed body with a really nice coffee presence that hits a high note without going too far. Smooth body and finish. Jesterdeal (1986) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - MAY 28, 2013
Growler thanks to Bruce and Steph. Aroma is fresh but bitter dark coffee. Pours black with nice white lacing. Taste is bitter coffee up front and a weaker hoppy stout behind. Thinner mouthfeel than this taste wants to represent. The coffee taste is very green but ultimately a good coffee stout. tom10101 (6265) - Quebec, CANADA - MAY 27, 2013
Growler shared by the philly crew at Hill Farmstead pre-3rd anniversary bottle share. Dark brown with reddish reflects, small beige head and little lacing. Aroma is of coffee, chocolate, some spicy notes and light fruity notes. Taste is about the same as aroma. Medium body. Low to moderate carbonation. Good Stout, but nothing exceptional. Pours a dark brown with no head and no lacing. Aroma roasted, cold coffee, vegetal. Taste is about the same but with more prononced green pepper notes. Medium body and low carb. Ok. AdamChandler (5181) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 26, 2013
Growler, poured a chocolate milk black, almost no head. Oats lend a really great mouthfeel! The espresso bean dominates everything but it’s a lot of fun. Like drinking a malty espresso latte. Good job jean!
