Poured hazy yellow with a bubbly white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, pineapple, mango. Definitely a funky spice in there that I don’t like. Pretty dry and bitter. Not my favorite.

On tap at Sabbatini’s bottle shop in Exeter, PA. It pours a pale yellow color with a nice tight white head. The aroma is fruity mango and pineapple hops with soft funk underneath. Pretty noticeable and complimentary to the hops. The flavor is a tad more spicy with some light peppery and floral bitterness. It has a snappy mouthfeel with a touch of citrus. Dry finish with just a hint of funk. This one is really more about the hops. Nice stuff.

16oz can from JohnGonk! Thanks bro. Pours a cloudy bright pale yellow color with a finger of foamy white head. Aroma of mainly fresh citrus and tropical fruit notes. Lots of pineapple, bready malts, grapefruit, and light saffron. Taste is much the same with some lemon pulp, and grass. Strong carbonation. Solid

Hazy pale yellow body, medium to thin white head, sparse lacing. Light grass, citrus, pool water, and soft spice. Medium to light bodied, moderate carbonation, soft finish, and an odd, lingering aftertaste.

Poured from a can dated May 25, 2016. Aroma has a light grain note with a bit of a bread character. Moderate hop notes with pineapple, mango, dragon fruit and lychee. Soem light citrus notes. Its a light, bright tropical fruit hop character. Pours a hazy, pale yellow straw color with a medium sized, pillowy, white head that steadily recedes to the edges. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with some grain notes and a bit of white bread. Medium bitterness with a hint of alcohol in the finish. Bitterness lingers a bit. Quite a bit of light, but forward and juicy tropical fruit notes from the hops. Dragon fruit, lychee, mango, star fruit with some lighter citrus and pineapple notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a soft IPA with light grain notes and a light hop profile. It’s a bit odd though because while the flavors and aromas are soft, they are bright and fruity. Lots of tropical fruit, but soft, light flavored fruits.

16 oz. can. Hazy yellow body. Smells of pilsner malt and citrus hops. Centennial hops are prevalent. Tastes strongly of pilsner malt also. Orange and grapefruit hops. Some mosaic bite too. Very bitter finish. Medium body. Aggressive IPA.

On draft at Tired Hands Fermentaria. The pour is a strange bright foggy yellow with a thick white head that recedes a little to a thick cap. The aroma is full of pine resin. There is a lighter tropical fruit presence, but it’s a little weird. The hops aren’t really present in a meaningful manner, just piney. The flavor is strangely spicy. There is a lighter hop and a resounding pine. The funkiness that I was hoping for from anything JP is missing. There is a distinct herbal spice on the back end that I don’t particularly care for. The mouth feel is thicker and too softly carbonated. The aftertaste is lingeringly piney and herbal. This is strange as hell. I guess that’s what they promised.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2016 Flight at Tired Hands with koleminer20. Aroma is tropical fruit, pine, light. Appearance is straw golden, white head, hazy, ugly. Taste is pine, spice, citrus, tropical fruit, zest, herbs. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, herbs and pine aftertaste. Overall, this is a strange IPA, as promised.

Draft at the Fermentaria with Linh, Ken, Vi and Thi. Pours a golden yellow body with thick haze and rich white head. Notes of grass, spice, yeast, soft pale malts and maybe some light fruits. The saffron is definitely noticeable as spice makes itself present, but still pretty good.

Hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus, nuts, lighter pine, and toast. Taste of earth, pine, a bit of onion, citrus, tropical fruits, grapefruit.
