neongolden (1770) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 30, 2017
(On tap @ CBC 2016 Green Session, Copenhagen) Pours a slightly hazy gold colour. Fairly tart, notes of red wine, red berries, citrus, Brett, lots of wood, buttery oak quality actually, maybe even a touch toasted, a little lactic, dry finish with lots of smooth buttery oak notes. Light to medium bodied, fairly high carbonation. Pretty solid wine barrel saison, expresses a ton of oak but also pulls a fair amount of barrel character out.

Got myself a bottle from Vin, of course. Thanks man! Pours clear golden, small white head, dissipates leaving nice residual and lacing. Aroma is full of lemon, bugs, wood tannin, hints of stonefruit, white grapes. Flavor is light tart and light plus funky, oaky, buttery stonefruit notes, lemony tartness, a hint of lactic tartness as well. Refined and pleasant. Reminds me of Saison Bernice actually. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Xolid.

phaleslu (10546) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 11, 2016
Pour from a bottle at the Shelton Brothers Festival. Pours a hazy gold color with a white head. Notes of custard, lemon, pear, white peach, oak, funk, yogurt, and vanilla. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a mouthfeel that strikes the right balance of sweet and tart. Well done. I enjoyed it better than the 6.

koleminer20 (3840) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - OCT 20, 2016
From notes. This was enjoyed at Jolly Pumpkin on October 1 for Zwanze Day 2016! This one we think was saved, after the girl knocked some bottles over in the ice water bath. Who knows? The pour is a foggy golden yellow with a thick white head and a little lace. The aroma is decent. There is a lot of funk here. It’s got a nice lemongrass up front with a bit of a candy addition and a dusty barnyard on the back end. There is a hint of tartness, but it’s all over the place. The flavor is much of the same. There is a nice grapiness to it, but the funky barnyard comes rolling in and really controls. It’s got a light lemongrass, and it moves through to finish dry. The mouth feel is lighter and clean with a bright carbonation and a lingeringly funky hay or straw on the back end. It’s decent, but I think I prefer 6.

PhillyCraft (7707) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 10, 2016
Bottle shared, clear golden color with smaller head. Notes of sour and sharp lemon candy, minerals, grape pixie stick and oak. Light to medium body with a dry finish. Preferred this one slightly to the 6.
