Draft. Black pour with tan head. Dark roasted malt, with an intense hot pepper influence. Chocolate roasted malt tones with a red pepper influence but not overpowering. adrian910ss (2574) - Doylestown, PA, USA - MAR 15, 2014

Growler, a few days old from the source. Dark brown with tan froth. Nose is coffee, dark chocolate, prune and spicy tobacco. Rich and creamy with a tang and slight heat. Taste is milk chocolate, espresso, licorice and smoky chili pepper. My favorite stout from TH. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2014
Draft at TH. Pours black with medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, green pepper. Medium body. Mostly roast, coffee and chocolate taste with subtle pepper and smoke. Very little heat which would distract from the beer. callmemickey (4543) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 5, 2014
Dark brown-black body, medium sized khaki head, nice soapy lacing. Bittersweet and dark chocolates, peppers, nicely roasted coffee, gentle smoky notes. Flavor shows all of the above, but with each sip the pepper lingers longer and longer, growing more distracting and less complementary--despite starting off quite well. Medium to thin bodied (the area where most TH stouts struggle to excel), mellow carbonation, lingering pepper heat. Intriguing. PhillyCraft (7221) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 5, 2014
On tap, puts blackish brown color with smaller head and lace. Aromas and flavor are subtle, rich pepper, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, and vanilla malt. Ultra rich and decadent with restrained pepper. Killer shit from the crew at tired hands. pilgrimoutlaw (888) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 4, 2014
On tap at brewpub. Pours dark reddish black with thick, but quickly dissipating tan head. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, pepper, basement. Moderately bitter and sweet. Creamy body. Strong start, but loses it’s luster later on.
