1 liter swing top growler. Pours a fizzy pear cidre colour with a fizzy quickly dissipating head. The smell is griany and wheaty, musty barnyard, and lighter fruits. Flavor is tart and dry. Cream of wheat mixed with lacto and funk. Lots of lemon and vomit. Spritzy mouthfeel. This is actually not bad tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 10, 2013
UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Growler: Thanks, Mike! Murky straw, yellow body, barely any head... Barely even a ring, actually. Aroma is some chalky tartness, lemons, ripe green apples, and some lightly funky hay. Taste is like apple juice up front with some lemon that comes rushing in. Tartness grows, puckering finish. Very mild musty hay, not quite downright funk. Soft wheat underbody. Quenching and quaffable. Low carbonation, likely due to growlering, so the mouth feel suffers just a tad. lachrymalisis (441) - Washington, USA - OCT 9, 2013
perfect berliner weisse as Hitler taught me to make all those years ago in my dusseldorf opium fields/ beatnik provocateur phase. beer was considered to cure AIDS in those days, and with beer, we did! jcartamdg (3436) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 2, 2013
Pours a light yellow with no head. Aroma of apples, lacto, citrus and sour wheat. Taste is tart, fruity, sour wheat and lacto. Nice, slightly sweet and tart. Solid Berliner MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 30, 2013
still gold, no head. Oily body, lightly acetic, decent grain levels, low lactic. Less grain than a preferably softer BeWe, not as punchy as that tomato bomb they released a while back. Nice lactic finish, soft and sticky with light bile. More carbonation needed. 0/3 on Berliner Weisse from a brewery that’s normally 5/5?!

Draft at Tired Hands with Dallas, PJ and Vinny. Pours a light hazy body with white lacing. Aroma is wheat, light tart and candy. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of light tart wheat, candy and faint fruit. A bit too watery, but nice overall. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 28, 2013
Pours lightly hazy lemon with no head. Light tart aroma in the nose, suggesting lemony wheat, which is exactly what you get in the flavor as well. pilgrimoutlaw (888) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 22, 2013
On tap at brewpub. Pours light gold with bubbly white head that completely disappears after a couple of minutes. Heavy white grape aroma, lemon, musk. Lightly sweet and moderately tart. Light, crisp body. Very much like a dry white wine, like a sauvignon blanc. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a pretty clean, bright yellow with thin white head that dissipates within seconds. Nose of funky lactic acid, lemon, saison/farmhouse yeast, hay. Lightish body, moderately tart with some funk. This would have great over the summer but still a solid Berliner. callmemickey (4542) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2013
Lightly hazy straw-yellow body, medium sized white head and minimal lacing. Lemon, lactic yogurt, light grainy wheat. Medium to light bodied, moderate acidity and tartness, gentle carbonation, lingering finish. Much better than the other recent TH berliners... still not quite on for the style.
