ganache (6147) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 5, 2017
Tap at the Fermentaria, Batch #14. Clearish golden (surprise, surprise!) with a short, lacing bright white head. Wheat and pepper nose, taste very tart, textbook saison on the whole but with a velvety mouthfeel. Low-medium bitterness, perfectly right crispness/carbonation. Oaky and very scratchy wood, so much so it’s almost Bretty! Lemon wedge, just tons and tons of natural lemon, straw/hay, full body and mildly repeatable. Clean, no sign of alcohol, had hoped for more complexity from the yeast. [2017.10.05: 3.8]
