pale hazy straw color. very pale, huge fluffy, rocky white head. lots of retention and lacing. aromas of perfumed and fruity white and black pepper, asian pear, candied violets, floral, lemony citrus, grass, and orchard air. Dry, very flavorful, true to style, clean, refreshing, asian pear flavors really come forward in the finish, along with a fair amount of bready yeast, and clean dryness that has slight vinous notes. stylistically accurate, subjectively delicious. absolutely one of the top 5 saisons I’ve ever had. it’s nice to see a low ABV saison for a change. Tap at TND. Pours a hazy yellow/pale golden with a medium creamy white head that left great lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits, lemon, spicy saison yeast notes, maybe some Brett brux? Nose reminds me a bit of Orval. Flavor of the same tropical fruits and spicy saison yeast notes. Really nice and dry, decent American hop profile along with the bitterness. Also seem to be picking up some Brett character in the flavor. Super dry, full of hoppy and saison character. A cross between and saison and a hoppy "west coast" style pale ale. Makes me even more excited about tired hands opening up later this month. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - JUN 8, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2012 Growler courtesy of yourefragile. Served in a snifter. Need to get a growler of this myself over the weekend so I can use m Tired Hands glass. Pours a clear straw color with a nice white head with good retention and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose carries light hay plus a touch of pepper. Nice bit of stone fruits lingering in the background plus a touch of lemon. Flavor takes it up another notch with some really nice light fruit notes atop a touch of spice. Good grain body. Crisp and extremely refreshing. I could drink this all day. Most impressive.
Update on tap at the source. Better than I remember with a perfect body and smooth finish. Grains mix incredibly well. A better version of De La Senne, which I never thought I’d say. ebone1988 (1969) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - JUN 13, 2016
Flight shared with koleminer20 at Tired Hands. Aroma is tart, fruity, funky, barnyard, straw, dry, great. Appearance is pale yellow, clear, white head. Taste is citrus, tart, slight yeast, funk, barnyard, really really good. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, crisp, tart lemon and dry aftertaste. Tired Hands’ description: "FarmHands: Our four-grain saison. Brewed with rye, wheat, oats, and malted-barley in homage to the original farmers (not brewers) that originated this style. Suggestions of tropical fruit, citrus rind, and black pepper. 4.8% abv."
Pours a hazy straw golden color with a small foamy cap of white head. Nice retention, well carbonated and light lacing. Aroma is fruity and spicy with a mild hop finish. Pineapple, mango, grass, pepper, yeast, pear and lemon are all present and balanced in the nose and flavor. Body is dry, medium light, well carbonated and a strong grassy finish. There is a strong fruit sweetness in the flavor I can’t quite place, it’s not the typical citrus or tropic fruit flavors; reminds me of the Asian inspired Wachu saison TH made with Grassroots. Regardless, the flavors of fruit and saison yeast are balanced by some light pepper through the body and the grassy and hoppy dry finish. Very nice flavor and body for a low ABV saison. Very promising for a house beer from this new brewery.

Thanks to yourefragile! This beer is awesome. Huge lemony dough and herbal straw notes with a super dry finish. Crisp, clean, herbal, and delicious. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 9, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2012 growler, hazy piss, thin white head. Nose is tangerine, less intense fantome 14, more earth and manure, less wheat. Soft carbonation. Flavor has more peach, low carb and wheat enhance dryness, bit of bubblegum ester disrupts in finish, and more balance necessary. Fantome 14 far better.Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Tap at brewpub. Different experience. hazy lemon, white island head surrounded by supple ring. Nose is ultra bright citrus, feet, super dusty and doughy. Flavor shows bright lemon zest at front, mid is considerable dough, passion fruit emerging before lightly peppery, soft grass and crust finish. Moderate sized body couples with effervescent carbonation. Very nice, efficient, ethereal.
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2012 Very wheaty saison, incredibly crisp and lightly hopped. This one is delicious julian (30) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Very authentic, rustic saison. Mild sulfuric aroma, some sweet belgian yeasty goodness, doughy malt, earthy spiciness, very reminiscent of Upright Seven. Taste follows suit, earthy, doughy, spicy, citrusy, with a faint black pepper taste on the finish. This drinks incredibly easily. Could drink this fo days! Excellent!
