A - Pours golden yellow with a half finger tall white head leaving nice little rings of lace down most of the glass.
S - Smells like your typical saison but with some pungent grassy hops backing up all that grain. A bit of light fruitiness develops as it sits in the glass, possibly from the yeast?
T - Much like the nose. Starts off with some mild breadiness and the typical saison funk quickly giving way to some nice grassy hops. Finish is kinda chewy with some hop bitterness, leaving the palate dried for quite awhile.
M - Medium-Light body with moderate carbonation. Smooth feel that just makes is so easy to consume.
O - A nice single hop saison but nothing ground breaking here. Another worthy addition to the series.
Amarillo, Texas. Night.
Don Geffibow walks down a shadowy alleyway to the sleazy brothel where he was conceived almost 5 decades ago. The heat makes it hard to swallow as he steps through the decrepit cellar door. He is instantly attacked by the smells of long-removed rotten fruit, mineral-rich clay, and the slow crumbling decay of time. As he steps further into the darkness, he is flooded with harsh childhood memories of this place; of the ancient toothless whore, Darla, who appeared to his young mind as the assurance that death and despair come to us all; and of Magda, the 19 year old who was raped to death by a gang of syphilitic, pot-bellied Comancheros in the very spot he now stood... wnoble (1251) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Notes from a growler a few weeks back. Pours yellow. Head is stacked up white. Nose is bright and fragrant- grass, earthy yeast aromas, citrus, lemon peels, spice. Flavor is similar with heavy spicy and citrus up front. Good but pretty much an IPA. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Courtesy Jon D. Pours golden with white head. Nose of bubble gum, twigs and litterbox. Grass and litter box, sugar and bubblegum, orange and lemon, mildly bitter. Some delicious astringency.

From growler, courtesy of Jon D. Great hop aroma, fruity with onion and light pale malt sweetness. Pale golden yellow clear with thin white head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Starts medium dry, peppery with fresh hops. Grassy, herbal, clean. Medium acidity at the finish with great hop flavor. Light bitter after. bytemesis (9231) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Growler - thanks to CallMeMickey! Pours hazy golden with a small white head and some lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus, honey, very wheaty, lightly spicy, perhaps peppery. Flavor is the same, lemon zest and peppery spice. Medium body. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Pour out of 1L bottle, huge thanks to Kerry! Nice hazy orange-yellow pour with nice fluffy white head, aroma brought notes of beautiful kiwi, tropical fruit, nice juicy pineapple, hints of grass, touch of nice spice notes, peach, pear notes come through into a nice biscuit, cracker, wow this pops. Taste is perfect, nice blast of amarillo with tart grapefruit, orange, some pineapple, passionfruit notes, slight kiwi, into spice notes with the yeast, biscuit, bready notes, nice peach and pear, some peppery esters, touch of dry grassy notes, finishing bitter, dry, crisp. Fantastic, I wish this was on tap at my house 24/7. Huhzubendah (3753) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Draft from the source and a growler to take home.
The beer is mildly hazy and light yellow with a big, fluffy white head. The aroma offers grass, floral notes, citrus, oranges, funk. Smells like a delicious, fresh, funky saison. The flavor is light and refreshing. Funky and earthy with a pleasant hop bitterness in the finish. Light spice with a bit of barnyard character. I really enjoyed this beer. Tired Hands is churning out some good brews lately.
