4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Tired Hands on 12/18/12, served in a tulip. Also enjoyed from a 1L fliptop growler later on the same evening, with similar attributes.
Pour: Hazy, very light yellow body, with a finger and a half of white, soapy head. Head leaves some really great lacing and sticks around for a while.
Smell: Big citrus up front, followed by a very pronounced yeast and white pepper. Some bready/biscuit dough comes through as well.
Taste: Follows the nose with a big lemon pith and grapefruit profile. A light clean tartness. White pepper and spicy farmhouse yeast really shine through the middle of the palate. Slight bitterness and a light, light funk on the finish. Great!
Mouthfeel: Insanely drinkable. Literally could and would all day long. Nice prickly carb, and a certain juiciness hidden in the taste. Finishes nice and dry.
Overall: The best Tired Hands beer I’ve had yet? I think FlavorAroma still takes that prize, but this beer is beautiful. Great job Jean and company!
this one had so many green things in it, but it wasn’t like a triple IPA so I think it needs more things to be flavored better, like triple IPA. my mouth was made to be eating BIG OLD FLAVORS, like they have at Cracker Barrel, my favorite homemade restaurant. I like the things they make there, so why don’t these guys make their beer-recipes more like the Cracker Barrel’s ’ronis & cheez? I like that more. orangesol (987) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2013

A - Pours Slightly hazy golden yellow, one finger soapy white head.
S - Smells of mild barnyard funk, a moderate amount of citric hops, pine needles, lemon zest and some light peppery spice.
T - Starts off with a bit of funk and bready saison yeast quickly giving way to the hops, some lemon, pine resin and a bit of spice. All the flavors you would expect with only the hops really standing out.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Light, slightly hoppy feel with a bit of chewiness at the end of each sip.
O - A decent enough single hop saison. Nothing over the top but still everything you would expect. I really like these single hop saisons so far.
Thanks for the hookup, BA buddy! Beautiful straw gold pour, with a lively carbonation and a sweetly sedimental look that promises freshness. In some ways, the nose was far more redolent of a tropical APA than a saison. Bright, generous tropical fruits, with a healthy dose of dry hops too and some bready, earthy saison characteristics. Very impressive, and the flavors follow suit quite admirably. Faintest funk, slightly more pepper, but overall a bright and lively saison. Well done stuff from a deservedly acclaimed new brewery. transparent gold, solid white cap that wont go. Oily nose, super fresh hop, even stinging metallic, light hints of dough. Much stronger dough flavor throughout, oily front has grass becoming toast and earth mid before lightly sweet finish, peanuts, grass, and oily grapefruit bitterness. The peanut flavor lasts, unfortunately, otherwise a very solid example. Piney finish with warmth. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - JAN 4, 2013
On tap at Tired Hands. Body is very light and is a somewhat-hazy yellow-straw color. Nose has a nice mixture of yeast and tropical and fruity Motueka hops. Flavor is light and crisp with the hops at the front and saison yeast through the finish. Very light and drinkable.

8oz draft or the Tired Hands Brewpub. Pours a bright, hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma is spicy, onion, garlic. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, bready, spicy, pine, garlic, with a light onion finish. Tasty. PhillyCraft (7230) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2012
One of my favorite varities of hops out there. This beer kicked ass for a saison. Poured semi clear hazy gold with impressive snow white head and awesome lacing streaks. Notes are super tropical and juicy: tangerine, orange peel, pepper, toasted malt, brett, and some various herbs. Medium carbontaion and light to medium bodied. Had a nice bite in the finish. Solid. Growler courtesy of egajdzis. Pours a wonderful lemon custard with golden hues, a medium foamy white head, and notable lacing. Aroma includes floral notes, orange and lemon zest, yeast funk, and slight spiciness. Taste is incredibly refreshing blend of citrus, earthy/funky yeast, and pepper leading to a smooth crisp finish with perfect amount of carbonation. So incredibly drinkable yet wonderful complex flavors and aromas. johnnnniee (4312) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 24, 2012
Pours a slightly hazy deep straw color with a smallish off white head that quickly recedes to a cap. Smells of lemon and citrus with bits of pepper and yeasty funk. The flavor is heavy on the citrus with again a bit of pepper and light yeast. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. This is a really nice light flavorful easy drinking saison, I quite enjoyed it.
