On tap at the source, pours pitch black with beige tiny bubbled head. Awesome appearance. Aroma is subtle cocoa, cigar, and pepper. Taste is roasted malt, chalk, fudge, espresso, graham and Columbian bean yo. Had some complex richness to it but needs a more full body. Still a great brew. reberiii (498) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 11, 2014
I truly enjoyed this stout, even if it?s a bit thin while cold (most are thinner). Huge notes of coffee and oat, toffee and vanilla backbone. Sweet, but not too sweet. As it warms, you get a lot more chocolate. Best beer I had at the brewery this night. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 19, 2014
sepia with puffy cream head, lightly ashy with coffee hints, sugary milk chocolate underneath. Ashy profile up front, strong roast through mid with sticky finishing with LONG graham cracker. Tons of grain and balance throughout. No alcohol, no excess sugar. Fuckin A. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 20, 2014
Draft at TH. Pours a deep black with medium mocha head. Nose of milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Sweet and chocolate-y, lots of roast flavor with very little astringency, some graham cracker on the finish. Creamy mouthfeel. jmm635 (1011) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 10, 2014
Poured dark black with a medium brown head. Roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate, and lightly burnt toast. Sweet but not too sweet for a dessert stout. Very enjoyable!

Pitch black body with a healthy sized khaki foam, soapy lacing. Intense vanilla in the nose masks an underlying bittersweet chocolate and roasted malt base. Some graham cracker comes in towards the back-end of the flavor provile. Medium bodied, but thins out (unfortunately) toward the finish. Lacks the weight necessary to capture the decadence it could. >> Black pour, great lacing. Nose is ultra waxy black crayon, vanilla, graham cracker. Taste is heavy wax, heavy herbal bitterness, slick, super bitter. Can’t believe it’s 6.3%. Taste is all bitter, lighter mouthfeel given abv. Somewhat thin and lactic, a tad ashy in palate. Still, really good for abv with robust power. Wouldn’t peg it as a sweet stout either- thankfully.
<<!>> Slightly thin, ashy finish.
yeah I like it, it tastes good. I was happily misled when smelling all the candy and chocolate smells but tasting the good dryness. I hope beer drinkers are pissed that it isn’t sweet like that good candy beer!

On tap at Tired Hands. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head. Smells like dessert, so that’s certainly accurate. Chocolate, marshmallow, a hint of coffee. Just on the thin side of medium-bodied, full of chocolate and cocoa. Roast, a bit of warming alcohol peeks through. Super smooth, malty and full of cocoa. Roasty, smooth, delicious. Finishes up with some lingering bitter cocoa. Very tasty. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2014
Pours black with a medium mocha head.. heavy lacing and a thin retention. Aroma has some roastiness and fruit (smells like a hint of red twizzlers?)...dark chocolate and very faint anise. Flavor has a slightly sweet dark chocolate that fade to bakers chocolate...nice bold roastiness...just a hint of graham and marshmallow in there if you’re looking for it. Mouthfeel is medium/full with a dry roasty/slightly fruity/bitter dark chocolate finish. Drinks like a big impy but only 6.3%.
